CBS has had ratings success with 48 Hours on Saturday nights and now NBC is trying their own version with Dateline Saturday Night Mystery. Will enough people tune in? We’ll see.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

9/1 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated charts, please try reloading the page. You can also see them here.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Dateline Saturday Night Mystery TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I love Dateline because they are true stories, even if some are re-runs. All shows get to re-runs eventually! I’m definitely a devoted fan and would vote to keep Dateline on air. So much garbage from science fiction and reality shows, that it’s not worth the time to watch, in my opinion. Please keep this news-worthy show going!
Dateline is now tired and boring. At the beginning I was an avid watcher but it has become so predictable it is unwatchable. Leave it to Paula Zahn and Unusual Suspects to pick up the slack. It is time for this show to retire in my opinion.
