What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the ABC television network,Emergence stars Allison Tolman, Alexa Swinton, Owain Yeoman, Ashley Aufderheide, Robert Bailey Jr., Zabryna Guevara, Donald Faison, and Clancy Brown. It takes place in Peconic Bay on Long Island, New York. In the series, Jo Evans (Tolman) is a newly divorced police chief and the mother of a teenage daughter named Mia (Aufderheide). Jo ends up taking in a young child named Piper (Swinton) who is found at the site of a mysterious accident and she has no memory of what happened. Jo’s investigation into the child’s mystery draws her into a conspiracy that is larger than she could have imagined. A series of bizarre electronic disruptions, unexplained forces, and a strange cryptic symbol are also all tied to the young girl. Other characters include: Jo’s father, Ed (Brown), who’s also battling cancer; Jo’s concerned ex-husband and Bree’s father, Alex Evans (Faison); investigator Benny Gallagher (Yeoman); Chris Minetto (Bailey Jr.), a police officer; and Jo’s best friend, Abby Frasier (Guevara), a pediatrician.

Will ABC cancel or renew Emergence for season two? The ratings have been dropping and weren’t all that great to start. The show does better in delayed viewing but I have doubts that that will be enough to save Emergence from being cancelled. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. I absolutely LOVE this show ! My 3 year old daughter does too lol, she keeps asking when can we watch ” kiper” again cause she cant say piper ! Please dont end this wonderful show ! Its different and so great to watch !
Pretty soon all of you will be canceled if you continue to get people hooked and then drop them like a hot potato.
Stop being ******** and at least create an end to properly end the story!

I love emergence and totally agree but I ******* hate them for canceling the show I would watch when I was down or in a bad mood this show even keep me from hurting myself and got me back on my feet and in life,but anyway thanks a lot for nothing you made me hate life again.
Liked it much until about the last few episodes. Seemed to lose its way and became a little dull…sad.
I absolutely love this show. It is family friendly and not trash tv like reality shows. Please keep shows like this on the air. Give the show a chance. I know it will do well as I have seen the voting going up as many people watch it streaming later. The show has higher ratings than other shows that have been renewed already. Please keep variety like this on television.

Our whole family absolutely loves this show….excellent cast, wonderful scripts (and now “Westworld” is back and the idea of AI is center stage again………) I would really love to see a season 2, and also a little advertising for the show, something ABC was very tight fisted about lst season.
My son and I loved this show. Kept us guessing what was going to happen next. It would break our hearts if cancelled. We so hope to see a second season.
