The soapy twists and turns of the Monreaux family won’t see a second season on FOX. The network has cancelled the Filthy Rich TV series after five episodes.
A Southern Gothic family drama series, the Filthy Rich TV show stars Kim Cattrall, Corey Cott, Olivia Macklin, Aubrey Dollar, Melia Kreiling, Benjamin Levy Aguilar, Mark L. Young, Steve Harris, Aaron Lazar, and Gerald McRaney. The Monreaux clan is a mega-rich Southern family that’s famous for creating a wildly successful Christian television network. On the cusp of launching a digital retail arm of the company, patriarch Eugene (McRaney) dies in a plane crash. His wife, Margaret (Cattrall), is left to take charge of the family business and is seen as a bigger-than-life leader to the religious and Southern communities. Eugene’s apparent death greatly impacts Margaret and the two adult Monreaux children but the whole clan’s lives are thrown into turmoil when it’s revealed that Eugene has named three illegitimate kids in his will. With plenty of plot twists and turns — mixed in with lies, deceit, and shade from every direction — this is a world in which everyone has an ulterior motive – and no one is going down without a fight.
The first season of Filthy Rich averages a 0.36 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.98 million viewers. It is one of the lowest-rated series currently on the network.
Five episodes have aired thus far and, according to Variety, the network will run the remaining five installments. FOX also cancelled low-rated neXt today. Both were reportedly cancelled due to low ratings and rising production costs due to COVID-19.

Please DO NOT CANCEL FLITHY RICH!!!! It is one of the absolute BEST new shows to come to FOX in years!!! I actually look forward to seeing the new episodes every week. Besides the fact that the cast is absolutely STELLAR!!! This show is a HIT!!!
So disappointed that Filthy Rich is canceled. It’s a great show, very refreshing and it’s needed. The plots, the twists and turns of the characters…please give the show another chance. You can’t go wrong with Kim Cattrall starring. Please give it another season so at least it can end properly. It’s not fair to the fans to leave us in limbo. If FOX cancels Filthy Rich I’ll no longer watch anything on the network and my friends, family feel the same. Word of mouth is strong.
Extremely disappointed to learn FOX is canceling Filthy Rich!!! Unexpected twists in the plot made me look forward to watching every week.
I kinda like the show…. I tune in every Monday….it’s a refreshing HOOT! .But I find their thick southern accents to be difficult to understand….and I’m from the south….these are great actors and I think they have overdone their accents….but the story is good….lots of crazy turns and twists to keep you guessing…
Please do not cancel Filthy Rich. It is the best new show on monday night. My friends and i cannot wait for it. We are in the 50 and older age range but we still spend money
I love Filthy Rich. Can’t believe they cancelled it so fast.
Had not planned on watching after seeing the commercials for it .. but taped the first episode anyway. Ended up getting hooked as it was like a fun escape during these trying times! They weren’t expecting an academy award, people!!
Production companies better come to terms with the increased costs due to Covid pretty quickly because it will be around for at least a year or two.
They had stop starting things you don’t intend seeing through before they lose whatever viewers they haven’t yet lost to streaming services.

Wow! Very disappointed. I thought this show was quite creative, funny and different which with all that’s going on was quite refreshing.
I thought this was a crazy, wild show but I was enjoying it. Too bad it won’t get a second season. Hate when there isn’t closure in a series I start to follow.
I saw that coming the moment I saw the commercial for the first time.
Totally boring, uninteresting plot and very bad acting. I watched 2 episodes and that was enough for me.
I wanted to like Filthy Rich but dumped it after 3 episodes. Was not well produced & very confusing to follow. Plus it was so over the top. Surprised it wasn’t better because it’s creator, Tate Taylor, made THE HELP novice which was so well done.
