What’s This TV Show About?
An ABC legal drama, For the People stars Britt Robertson, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Ben Rappaport, Susannah Flood, Wesam Keesh, Regé-Jean Page, Ben Shenkman, Hope Davis, Vondie Curtis-Hall, and Anna Deavere Smith. The Shondaland TV series unfolds at “The Mother Court,” i.e. the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. The story centers on six accomplished attorneys, who work on both sides of the law. Whether they represent the defense or the people, these young lawyers ply their trade, trying some of the most publicized cases, and in federal court, the stakes can be sky high.

Will ABC cancel or renew For the People for season two? The ratings started low and, save for one hiccup, haven’t gotten better. I’m sure it will be cancelled and may even be pulled off the schedule before all of the episodes have aired. For now, I’ll keep an eye on the ratings and update this page with breaking developments. So many of the greatest tv shows in history struggled with ratings in the early going.
I know quality when I see it. I hope some smart executive stands up “For The People”.

It’s not a bad show but it’s just missing something. I don’t know what but something? Corruption in the law firm, more sabotage. But if it doesn’t last, I hope they find another show for the actors that play Allison and Leonard. They stand out among the others. JMO.
Just awful. Badly written and terrible acting. The low number of viewers indicates just how few people are watching.
We must be talking about 2 different television shows. Could not disagree with you more. But you are entitled to your opinion. As I said in my comment, many of the best shows in tv history started out with terrible ratings. It takes time to find an audience.
Current ratings are at 2.637 million. This show ranks 21/26 and several shows with higher ratings have been cancelled. We must truly be talking about two different shows, because the vast majority of viewers are not watching. I guess I will have more time for Netflix.
terrible acting and badly written? Sure the dialogue needs some tightening up but overall it isn’t ”badly written”. The acting is very good as well. Maybe you are watching a different show.

Couldn’t stick with it – boring!
I thought I wouldn’t like this show, and started watching with an attitude, but the longer I watched the better it got. It’s tough to change my mind, but this show is a winner. I hope it doesn’t get canceled.
