Frankie Drake Mysteries is ending its run on CBC with its current fourth season. Ovation aired the first three seasons of the Canadian series and it will likely air the fourth and final year, but a premiere date has not been set.
Lauren Lee Smith (above) stars in the detective drama set in the 1920s as Frankie Drake – the first female detective. She uses that to her advantage to solve cases with the help of her partner, Trudy (Chantel Riley). They are often aided by Toronto police’s morality officer, Mary Shaw (Rebecca Liddiard), and morgue attendant Flo Chakowitz (Sharron Matthews).

So disappointed, this was a Great Show. Something different then the run of the mill stuff (violent shows).
I’m disappointed as I liked the show. The story line were different, the lady cast members members smart, funny and refreshing to watch. Too bad they wouldn’t have canceled one of the old stale shows instead.
Why has it been cancelled, there are such other rubbish shows, but this was a good one, dont understand why it has been cancelled
Could not get into this show from the beginning, so I am not disappointed that it has not been renewed.

I Loved Frankie Drake Mysteries and loved Lauren,Sharon,Chantel and Rebecca who did a great job with this all Female series. Wish it wasn’t over it’s such a great show. I’m really going to miss it. Hope you ladies work together again you were such a great team. May you continue to prosper! Bummer, think I’m gonna cry. Big mistake CBS

What a shame Frankie Drake was something special. An all female cast that showed strong women in a Male dominated period of history. CBC has made a big mistake.

Both Frankie Drake and Murdock mysteries are rare treasures to find these days. It is a shame the show is being canceled. This show will be impossible to replace.
