Frankie Drake Mysteries is ending its run on CBC with its current fourth season. Ovation aired the first three seasons of the Canadian series and it will likely air the fourth and final year, but a premiere date has not been set.
Lauren Lee Smith (above) stars in the detective drama set in the 1920s as Frankie Drake – the first female detective. She uses that to her advantage to solve cases with the help of her partner, Trudy (Chantel Riley). They are often aided by Toronto police’s morality officer, Mary Shaw (Rebecca Liddiard), and morgue attendant Flo Chakowitz (Sharron Matthews).

Very disappointed tha CBC has cancelled this show! Please bring it back or at least a movie to wrap up the loose ends!
The ending is upsetting. This could lead to more stories and, Trudy being saved. Bring it back….so many ends to carry on with…
Very disappointed to hear the series has been cancelled! If that episode was the cliff hanger last episode, that was a very sad way to leave so many story lines incomplete! Not a great decision, folks!
So upset to hear Frankie Drake is cancelled! We loved it.
Utterly disappointed to see this incredible show ending. Why? The story line, characters, setting and costuming were beyond stellar. There are no other shows similar to this unique gem. I live in theUS and Monday nights were all the better because of Frankie Drake. This show needs to be picked up and continued.

I’m the least PC person on the planet. FD was as PC as it gets. That said…it had a certain charm. The sets & costumes were incredibly well done. I even liked the characters. It was a pretty good show. Best to cast & crew.

Oh no, just hear the news that Frankie Drake Mysterious is not going to be renewed for Season 5, can’t someone please do something. Could it be pick-up by another network? Love this series. Please someone pick this series up. I’m a 70 year old whom just adores Frank Drake Mysterious. There’s not to many series that I watch and I don’t stream movies, and to lose this series really upsets me. There isn’t not to many series that I watch.
I just found out on International Women’s Day that Frankie Drake Mysteries would not be returning next season. What a crime!
Discovered this because I’m a Murdoch fan and really enjoyed the show and it’s cast. Please bring it back!

I’m sad but understand. I don’t think the show lived up to season one. Was exciting and fresh, ended up talkie and a copy of Murdoch. All the best to the actors of Frankie.
