Frankie Drake Mysteries is ending its run on CBC with its current fourth season. Ovation aired the first three seasons of the Canadian series and it will likely air the fourth and final year, but a premiere date has not been set.
Lauren Lee Smith (above) stars in the detective drama set in the 1920s as Frankie Drake – the first female detective. She uses that to her advantage to solve cases with the help of her partner, Trudy (Chantel Riley). They are often aided by Toronto police’s morality officer, Mary Shaw (Rebecca Liddiard), and morgue attendant Flo Chakowitz (Sharron Matthews).

I love Frankie Drake Mysteries. Showcasing women in non-traditional careers in the early 1900s is so uplifting. Now cbc has decided to get rid of this show that features independent, outspoken and strong-willed women in an era where women had no voice!! I’m so angry!!!!!
Well, did anyone think before they wrote the final episode? Talk about leaving a series unfinished. Terrible!!!

CBC, You suck big time both in the overall cancellation of one of my favourite TV series & the Series finale. Too many story lines left open & unknown!

Don’t cancel Frankie Drake Mysteries. Enjoy it very much. One of the best shows around. Finally a show to look forward to. Love the costumes and landmarks in Toronto and area.

I just found out that the Frankie Drake Mysteries show tonight was the series finale. That was upsetting news. I enjoyed the series and don’t understand why it had to be cancelled. With all of the loss that took place this last year why did this show have to go too!
