TV show description:
This family sitcom takes place in the 1990s and follows the story of Eddie Huang’s Taiwanese family as they make their way from Chinatown in Washington, DC to Orlando, Florida. They open up a steak restaurant and experience serious culture shock while pursuing the American Dream.
Young Eddie’s parents are Louis (Randall Park) and Jessica Huang (Constance Wu). Louis loves everything America and moves his family to open Cattleman’s Ranch Steakhouse. Unlike Jessica, he believes in the good of people. Jessica is a strong, protective mother who’s also a frugal, business-minded woman who doesn’t believe in wasting anything.
Eddie Huang (Hudson Yang) is the family’s eldest son loves hip-hop and often feels like the black sheep. He’s not thrilled about the move and wants desperately to belong. He always has a plan to get his situation to change, usually inspired by his favorite rappers.
Emery (Forrest Wheeler) is the middle son who adapts very well to the move and becomes popular very quickly. Optimistic and easy-going, he gets a girlfriend on the first day of school. Youngest son Evan (Ian Chen) is a mama’s boy who follows rules, is lactose intolerant, and is often sent by his mother to be a representative at neighborhood meetings — to get the inside scoop.
Episode #116 — Commencement

What do you think? Do you like the Fresh Off the Boat TV show? Would you have watched if it had been renewed for a seventh season?
I am an African American woman who loved that show. The actors were among the top five casts I’ve ever seen in any series. The writing captured exactly what I would expect from a family as
proud to be American as they are of their ethnicity. They got America and the difference between it and them. Fabulous actors. Hope to see them all soon.
Why do all the good shows get cancelled? Fresh off the Boat and Constance Wu and the kids were such good comic actors. Hope to see something with Constance Wu again.
We enjoyed the show and appreciated that it was a show the entire family can enjoy and actually wants to watch. It’s so hard to find shows that aren’t full of inappropriate content. We are sad to see this show end.
I am so sorry the show is ending. It is a good clean comedy that the whole family can watch.
I love this show . Especially Evan who has extraordinary comedic timing. It has fun to watch the children grow up season to season, especially Eddie. Who was a small child in season 1 and had grown up and is bigger than his father . It should continue at least until Evan finishes high school
Renew please
Renew. This show is very entertaining.
Glad they are ending the show as it has jumped the shark. Kids have gotten to old & the parents dynamics have gotten boring. They went a season or two toooo0 long.
Renew! Best comedy on TV.
Please renew Fresh off the Boat.
This series is very accurate to what happened in our family the stories are written very humorous. The story and events is true in my family too. The characters are just like my family members.
My Brother’s Girlfriend watches the show. This helps her understand our family better.

RENEW
Appealing and charming. Consistently delivers a warmly humorous, well acted glimpse into the lives of a very engaging family trying to find their identity in mainstream 1990s American suburban culture.
This show needs to be cancelled. It is no longer believable because the kids have all grown so much. Unless they want to change them all to college students. The oldest boy looks like he is 25 now and the second one looks like a college students. All their friends are now longer believable as high school students. The kids have just outgrown the show which is often the case with these kinds of shows.
