God Friended Me was recently cancelled by CBS, and now the cast is reacting to the move by the network. Brandon Michael Hall, Violett Beane and others on the cast spoke about the series ending on social media.
Per TV Line, Hall revealed the following about the cancellation of God Friended Me:
“There’s something to be said for an artist to be able to wake up every single day and work with a group of people who you can honestly call your family. The hardest thing is knowing I’m not going to be able to… work with them [every day].”

Finally a show comes along that makes you feel good. My family looked forward to it every week. What next another politically correct sitcom that’s doesn’t relate to anything normal. God is great and hearing him talked about even from a non-believer has been wonderful.
Damn right I’m pissed. Show gave me closure for lately it has been nuts with covid.
I’m very upset to learn this wholesome and sweet show is being cancelled! This is one of my favorite tv episodes and leaves me feeling good and hopeful, which is what all of us need now! What is the lame excuse for this?!!!!!!!!
I was devastated when I heard that one of my favorite shows ever has been cancelled. Way to go CBS! Finally you give us a wonderful family show & then you take it away? I’m heart sick. And with all the wonderful stories that the season ended with, too. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR MIND & renew it!
I am massively upset about the best series on tv being canceled. The media is taking GOD out of everything. This was such an uplifting sweet show with the lives of the characters intertwined so beautifully. Once a week I could escape for an hour that seemed like 5 minutes because the show was so well written and engaging. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!!! I know I speak for millions of people. I was so upset last night when I heard those 2 little words, series finale. This was my favorite show and I looked forward to Sunday nights. I cant believe that this is cancelled. Wonder if some of those lingering questions will be answered, will Ally be cured, will Miles and Kara get back together, and will the owner of the God account be revealed?

My husband and I are very disappointed God Friended Me is being canceled. This is a terrific show that we record & never miss. Please reconsider!!!!
It upsets me that you would take a show off the air that touches your heart. It is unreal. This is a show where I like the language. Touch by an Angel was one. CBS please continue to put shows on that touch your heart. Doesn’t matter what or who you believe in. God or a higher-power. The show makes you feel good and even bring on water-works.
CBS, you suck. God Friended Me is probably the best “feel good” drama on tv.
