God Friended Me has a new co-showrunner. Deadline reports Robby Hull has been promoted co-showrunner for the CBS TV show’s season two.
The drama series centers on Miles (Brandon Micheal Hall), a podcaster whose life is turned upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from a user named “God.” The cast also includes Violett Beane, Suraj Sharma, Javicia Leslie, and Joe Morton.
Hull, who served as co-executive producer on season one of God Friended Me, will now serve as an executive producer and co-showrunner with creators/executive producers Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt.
The CBS series wrapped its first season on April 14th.

Yes, I will watch, but since I am 70 yrs old, CBS doesn’t care.
My husband and I loved the show, and will be counting the time until season 2 begins.
Love the show, can’t wait for season 2 !
Before I became involved w/ GOD FRIENDED ME, I thought this was going to be a “modern” TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL. This is SO much more: I love the stories & characters, especially the humanity of Miles. SO happy there will be a Season 2!
Both my wife and I never miss it. It is intelligent and insightful.
My wife and I love the show, great scripts and excellent acting. So refreshing to see characters that are real and like-able. thanks, Ed Culliton

The last episode felt like a SERIES finale. How will they go on for season 2?
