An ABC medical drama, The Good Doctor stars Freddie Highmore, Antonia Thomas, Nicholas Gonzalez, Chuku Modu, Beau Garrett, Hill Harper, Tamlyn Tomita, and Richard Schiff. The show centers on Dr. Shaun Murphy (Highmore), a new surgical resident with autism and savant syndrome. His incredible memory and keen ability to perceive spatial relations inform Shaun’s gifted comprehension of his patients. Meanwhile, his autism can hinder his ability to communicate with others. With only the help of his advocate, Dr. Aaron Glassman (Schiff), Shaun must challenge the skepticism and prejudices of the hospital’s board and medical staff, in order to do his job and save lives.

The Best Monday night show in a long time! Each episode was so well written, I have loved every story line and the acting is so on point. LOVE LOVE LOVE this show.
I was skeptical at first,As a fan of house i was afraid it wouldn’t measure up..After watching the very first episode i was hooked..It’s brilliant and keeps me on the edge of my seat.And it ends message to people with disabilities,that they can do impossible things..

I love this show. Love the man (doctor) who adopted the autistic boy. Love the stories told in flashbacks. Every actor and character on the show is excellent. Great writers. Please renew. My new favorite show to date.

Love the Show! I hope the Good Doctor gets Renewed for another season. Finally there is a doctor-hospital show that has drama and not all love scenes. It deals with patients and healing.

Love this show. We have 2 teenaged boys and its the one hour a week the entire family sits down and truly enjoys a show together. Please dont cancel The Good Doctor!
I love this show, it is so uplifting. My nephew is Autistic and every week that I watch this show gives me hope and a better understanding.
I haven’t watched medical dramas for the longest time until now. The characters, the challenges they face in this show are far more believable. The main character, Dr. Shaun Murphy, is the reason behind the drama that makes it worth watching. A young Autistic man trying to “fit into” a society that puts him at the end of the spectrum, categorizing him as unemployable due to mental deficiency. Eventually his co-workers come around to his way of thinking, giving Shaun a thumbs up.
This is the best drama on TV, hands down. Great cast, great storylines, and shines a light on Autism.
Fresh idea, but totally absurd concept, and a very annoying pattern of speech. Why shows like this are picked up and other good quality shows are dropped at the whim of some faceless executive still astounds me !
