What’s This TV Show About?
An OWN megachurch drama, Greenleaf season four stars Keith David, Lynn Whitfield, Lamman Rucker, Kim Hawthorne, Lovie Simone, Merle Dandridge, Desiree Ross, Deborah Joy Winans, Tye White, Rick Fox, Beau Bridges, and Oprah Winfrey. The story centers on the Greenleaf family and their Memphis congregation. In the fourth installment, the Greenleafs try to remain a united front against the threat of losing Calvary to Bob Whitmore (Bridges) and Harmony & Hope Ministries. They’re keeping secrets though, and those secrets threaten their bond.
Season Four Ratings
The fourth season of Greenleaf on OWN averaged a 0.22 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.07 million viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by 19% and 18%, respectively. Learn how Greenleaf stacks up against the other OWN TV shows.
Greenleaf has been renewed for a fifth and final season which will debut June 23, 2020. Could it be revived someday?
Telly’s Take
Will OWN cancel or renew Greenleaf for season five? Though the series’ ratings have dropped, Greenleaf is still one of OWN’s most popular shows so I don’t think it’s ending, at least right now. Yessss!!!!! I can’t express that enough!!! I was raised in a “black” church and Lord knows I passionately feel like it ain’t nothing better!!! Amen! And when I’ve attended a white church I’ve always felt like I could’ve gained a little bit more……i don’t know if y’all understand me! But I am a mixture of both races, I definitely agree to get rid of H&H. Not cause of race, but because Calvery is a family that has history and things to resolve “inside” of the church. Need a more positive out come, when dealing with the church. And more positive out come when dealing with this powerful family.
I feel there should be a season 5 there are to many cricked people in the ministry. It should have a more spiritual and better out come.
I think they are showing what really happens in real life they are people to that have life issues just like everyone else, but they still do their best to care for and run the church they are doing church business right while dealing with their personal issues
For sure Greenleaf should return for several more seasons!! I am looking forward to season 5.

It would be ashamed if the Greenleaf saga ends with so many unanswered questions. We’ve committed to watching all 4 seasons and deserve a better conclusion! Handle your business Ms. O!!

I definitely hope it gets picked up for a fifth season! There will be such a hole left if they end the series now, such a gap in information and so many questions left unanswered that I just can’t see it ending right now. It’s way too soon. I was wondering the same thing what is taking Noah so long to come and meet his son, it looked like he was out of the pic, that’s why we need a season 5 and more so many unanswered questions. Need to Know!!
This is the best show on the OWN network! To cancel this show would be crazy! Now if you get rid of Charity and Clarrisa the ratings will go back up. Most of us are sick of their characters!!! And Noah should not come back as his character was too weak for a man!

I hear what you’re saying, at first I didn’t care to much for Kerissa but now she’s bringing some spice and spunk into everything really both her and Charity and I think Phil really Loves Charity sorry he hurt her so bad but I think she will sneak around and see him behind Judy’s back. She get the raw end if the deal everytime, she deserves love
