Happy Town revolves around a bunch of strange disappearances and murders in a small town. The large cast includes Sam Neill, M.C. Gainey, Geoff Stults, Lauren German, Amy Acker, Steven Weber, Ben Schnetzer, Sarah Gadon, Jay Paulson, and Robert Wisdom.
After a disappointing premiere in the ratings, Happy Town was pulled off the airwaves for most of May sweeps. Before the show returned on June 2nd, ABC officially cancelled the TV show. Only eight episodes were filmed but at least answers to some of the TV show’s mysteries will be revealed by the end.
Unfortunately, ABC pulled the show off the air once again and left fans hanging as to when the final two episodes would air. Well, the network has released both episodes and you can watch them below.
What do you think? Are you in any way satisfied by these final two episodes?

I loved the cliffhanger at the end of Happy Town! I can’t see the series going on for years and years, but they could have given us Season Two and we would have found out who the Magic Man was and discovered the meanings of the secrets. Happy Town is a “thinking” show and I loved trying to get the clues and discover who the Magic Man is. Too bad ABC missed this opportunity! Now they have “Always Boring Crap” which is why I pretty much stick to cable TV shows. Those shows at least make it through an entire… Read more »
ok guys…..think about it…..some of you love novels and many times they don’t answer all the questions…in fact my favorites are the ones where i can actually use my imagination….i loved this series and the last 2 episodes as well….we can make it anything we want it to be….tv shouldn’t answer all the questions then it wouldn’t be interesting
just my opinion though….i seem to be in the minority on this one
I think that the reality TV is ruining all the good shows that take some thinking. I too am bummed by ending…very sloppy after a great start….HBO did the same to us when they pulled Deadwood….promised us a conclusion that never happened….I am about ready to quit TV altogether and just read novels…at least there will be an ending that makes sense and noone will pull out the last pages on me.
I agree with all the comments above, way to many questions, like what happened in the movie that the grandma HappyFace showed to the shocked grandson, was he afraid of the FBI Warning? I mean really then come to find out that the Sheriff (father) was in on the killings, or something like that and why did he trip out in the beginning episodes, was he faking it or was he going crazy because of all the quilt. Like I said To Many questions. They should have left the show off the air if they weren’t going to conclude it… Read more »
Disappointed! Want to see more. What was the link between Chloe & Griff? What does Chloe do when she sees Griff go into the Bar? Who finds the missing people? Is Simon with the missing people? Where did Chloe get the idea of the tattoo? What did Susan have to do with the story-besides being Chloe’s mother? OMG! The would have been a perfect spring-summer mini-series like Harper’s Island was last year. Wanted a real ending that brought everything together, answered all questions, & didn’t leave us wonder who the Magic Man was. Dee Wallace Stone played Alice. Would have… Read more »
Thats it! What happened to the missing people? Are we supposed to believe Alice is the magic man and the sheriff knew about it? Common ABC – give us more.
I agree with all the comments above…Too many lame, empty sitcoms…finally, we get Happy Town and FlashForward and I was watching TV again………now what? You will keep angering your viewers enough that they will just stop tuning in altogether!
Too many unanswered questions. There was no link to many of the people-Majic man had a link between Mrs. Conroy not really being dead and Steven Weber’s mother but how does it fit and why? Mr Conroy knew the truth but it was not evident until the last scene. This was a good series-who decided to pull the plug before an adequate end could be produced?
This really sucks, I wanted to find out what happened to the missing people and why. Im so sick of them cancelling great shows, makes me not want to watch new shows, cause lets face it, their just gonna cancel them any way. So irate.
O.K. I’m stupid, who was the magic-man. Did I miss something? I’ve got more questions now than I did before I watched the last two episodes. If the people were alive where were they and who put them there? What was the girl with the hatch role in all of this and who was the lady in the bar at the end.
I am so disappointed with the ending of Happy Town. I believe the actors deserve better as do the loyal fans. At least Harper Island tied up all the loose ends. Shame on ABC.
This really sucks….Just saw the last 2 episodes…they need to continue…This was really an awesome series…..now it’s unfinsished…What the hell is ABC thinking!!!! How stupid….leaving everybody hanging……
NOT HAPPY WITH THE ENDING…WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE MISSING PEOPLE AND WHAT THE CONNECTION WAS WITH THE REMAINING TOWNS PEOPLE
I agree. I rarely even watch the network shows due to thier sitcom/reality show lameness. I finally get drawn to the network with both Flash Forward, then Happy Town, only to have them both cancelled, unreal. I think they were tapping into a demographic that typically wasn’t watching them. It takes awhile to accrue numbers when tapping into a new crowd. Same with “Heroes”. But, they gave up and put some total garbage in thier place. So, I guess all us cable watchers will go back and quit wasting our time with the major networks. I wish these shows would… Read more »
I am please to have stumble across the last two episodes of Happy Town! I am totally ticked off at the network for not airing the last two episodes and leaving it only accessible online. It’s the 8th of August and I just got wind of it! I stand at a better place after watching the last two episodes; however, the network owed it to not only the “Low Rating Fans”, but to the actors and actresses, and their family and friends to at least express their gratitude and appreciation for an awesome cast. ABC cancelled another great series –… Read more »
