NBC has a new Melissa George medical drama set for mid-season, but the series has gone through a number of changes since it was announced by the network over the summer.
The series has now undergone another change.
In recent months, the series was named Heartbreaker. This was the second name for the series. It was originally named Heart Matters after the books it was based upon. Now, NBC has given a new name for this series. According to their official Twitter, the series is now titled Heartbeat. A network representative confirmed the change to this site.
NBC originally planned to include this series with their fall line-up, but a decision was made to push back the series after Melissa George announced her pregnancy. Chicago Med was pushed up instead.
This is not the first time Melissa George has appeared on a medical drama. She had a brief stint as Meredith Grey’s best friend from med school on Grey’s Anatomy.
Do you plan to check out Heartbeat on NBC? Tell us what you think.
I watched the first two shows and was ready to binge watch it. Now I will be watching this on a regular basis.
Just caught the first two episodes, enjoyed them and wished thete were more.
I hope this isn’t a female rip-off version of House
Usually, I don’t like name changes, but “Heartbeat” is a better title for a medical show than “Heartbreaker”. When will it be premiering?…And, what’s with the network having 2 new medical shows? (And, is “Night Shift” coming back also?!)
It’s a better name.
