TLC has announced the return of their Hoarding: Buried Alive TV series. Season four will have 18 installments and will kick off on Wednesday, February 13th, at 9pm.
Here’s their press release:
TLC’s hit series HOARDING: BURIED ALIVE returns on February 13 with one of its most powerful episodes to date featuring single mom Karen, who’s not just struggling to save her home – but her children also. For most 12-year-olds their home is a safe haven, a place to enjoy their childhood and form bonds with family members.
But for Karen’s son David, their 4-bedroom house in suburban New Jersey is anything but as it is overrun by filth, clutter, electrical wires and garbage. Most affected by her problem are Karen’s children, sons Joseph, 14, and David, 12. She admits to using her own son’s bedrooms for storage and has driven their house so far into the ground that none of the bedrooms or bathrooms have functioning electricity.
But as expected, there’s a reason for Karen’s hoarding problems – tragedy. By the age of 54, Karen had endured the loss of two husbands and a child. Tune-in to witness this incredible story of perseverance through self-discovery made possible by the help of a licensed psychologist and a hauling team leader turned hero who rallied the local community to lend a hand. Faced with the nearly impossible task of cleaning years of hoarding in a 48 hour window, this family struggles to meet the strict requirements of Child Protective Services in order to keep the teen boys out of foster care.
HOARDING: BURIED ALIVE goes beyond the hoard to reveal the psychology behind this obsession that has made daily existence unbearable. Each episode examines hoarders as they struggle to regain control of their uncontrollable behavior. This emotional attachment to objects is a debilitating condition that knows no demographic and if left untreated can destroy lives and break up families. Challenged by expert therapists and professional organizers, the hoarders attempt to reclaim their lives and relieve the distress.
What do you think? Are you a fan of this TLC series? Why do you like it?
I SAW THE OLD EPISODE OF BURIED Alive from 2011. As an inheritor of 4000
Marionettes from the Bob Baker Estate
there is no money in any Marionette or
hand puppet. Give it or them away !!!
Unless you have some rare puppet such as some from Harry Burnette or Bob Baker
the most you can expect is 50$.
Sad but true.
Love the show !!!! Had to unbury Bob
baker 75 years of collected junk. Some of which was library material… Difficult.

Please keep it on. It give us all better understanding of addictions like this. It makes me, who is a terrible clutterer, get up and start organizing and throwing out things!
Please cancel there are better shows on..
I like both hoarder shows but I like Hoarders better. Please keep them both on.
This needs to be off of the air it is messing with my mother’s mind she calls every one hoarders thanks to this show. Cancel it please
Hoarding: Buried Alive on TLC is much BETTER show than Hoarding on A&E. I think the A&E show might have been cancelled, but don’t fear — just switch over to the TLC Hoarding series and watch their entertaining and informative show. You can check your local listings for the time of the show in your area on TLC! Everybody I know really prefers the TLC Hoarding show. No harm in giving it a try!
I’d like to know how are Karen and her 2 son’s David, Joseph doing?
Please do not cancel Hoarders! There are so many shows on A&E that should go before this one!!!
