Get ready for a second season of Home Town. The series will return with brand new episodes in January.
HGTV revealed more about the return of the series in a press release. Check that out below.
“Home renovation stars Ben and Erin Napier return to HGTV for a sophomore season of their hit series Home Town on Monday, Jan. 8, at 9 p.m. ET/PT—and this time there will be one special new addition in Laurel, Mississippi. The first-time parents-to-be, who inspired more than 15 million viewers to love small-town living during season one, will transform more outdated properties into gorgeous family homes in the 10-episode season.
“Ben and I don’t think of our work as simply home renovation,” said Erin. “We find the common thread in the things that the homeowners love – the story of their life and family – and how that relates to the house. It’s satisfying when that comes together.”
“I’m excited to see our baby grow up in Laurel where everybody takes care of each other,” said Ben. “It’s a special place.”
During each episode, Ben and Erin will show clients two outdated, but budget-friendly properties that meet the families’ needs. Erin, an artist, will share her watercolor rendering of both old houses to help families see how she and Ben will update it into their dream home. As construction gets underway, Ben, a wood worker and craftsman, will use reclaimed materials from the property to build one-of-a-kind pieces for the homeowners, including a bench made from front porch flooring and a 12-foot dining room table crafted from repurposed sunroom beams.
HGTV’s digital platforms will showcase the Napiers and their home town of Laurel with special online video tours of the town and the couple’s local store, Laurel Mercantile. During the series run, Ben and Erin also will star in social media videos that range from fun homemade craft ideas to relationship Q&As. Throughout the season, fans can visit HGTV.com/Home-Town for more exclusive online content, including behind-the-scenes videos and photo galleries, and can interact on social media using #HGTVHomeTown.
The season two premiere episode of Home Town will be available for free via HGTV’s EST partners, HGTV.com, HGTV’s TV Everywhere mobile and connected device apps, and video on demand platforms.”

I love the show, and Erin and Ben are real down home people, to me. As for people not liking to hear “Just do it,” I can relate to that phrase. I dream of minor improvements to my home but routine life intervenes, I’m tired, and I procrastinate. I think she means stop making excuses and stop overthinking, and Just DO it! She inspired me to DO the planning, SAVE the money for that purpose, GET the estimates, ACCEPT the temporary mess, and then ENJOY whatever your project was, big or small. Mine was just screening a porch, a 20-year… Read more »
Thank you for keeping Home Town – natural, honest, real people without high commercial expensive unreal renovations. Real life with real people – just like those who watch the show. Refreshing.
Love love love this show. These two use what they have. They restore charm and add a little love to these hometown properties that are in need. Ben and Erin really listen to their new neighbors to design a home that suits their needs.
Ben and Erin have done more for our little town than can be believed! Downtown is once again thriving, people are renovating their own homes, the town has gotten a real facelift. New merchants in the downtown area are doing very well. The Napiers are just some of the nicest people around. Bump into them at the local Waffle House and they greet you like kin. We absolutely love’em!
I love this show! They are trying to help people get a home and at the same time helping their home town. They seem to be just down to earth people. I don’t believe their intention was to ever be like someone else. Everybody has their own taste. If you don’t like it. Don’t watch it, but that is no reason to ruin it for those of us who do love it.
Love this show! Hope it continues for a long time!!❤️
I literally get sick to my stomach when the commercial comes on. Erin is the trashiest grossest person I’ve ever seen. Please please take this show off the air. She is disgusting. She could never ever come close to Joanna.
A lot of us love this show. If you don’t like it don’t watch it
I totally agree Dori! My husband and I love this show. Ben and Erin do a great job restoring these beautiful old homes to their former glory. They seem to be a really nice couple. I hope to watch HomeTown for many seasons.
Just found this show and we love it. Just as Fixer Upper was leaving, this is a great replacement. Love that they try to save some of the old and add new. No, not everyone will love it, but Chip and JoAnn from Fixer Upper is hated by quite a few of our friends too. Nice to have some new ideas ! They are a darling couple and a new baby too!
Hate this show and detest the commercial “just get up and do it” even more.
Please cancel soon, or at least stop running the annoying commercial!
I do not like this show. Ben is boring and doesn’t have much personality. Erin seems to be trying to make up for his lack of enthusiasm by being overly so. This is a show that I automatically turn off.
Love this show. I love Erin’s taste and decorating style and the fact that it doesn’t all look the same. I hope they’re on for a long time. Ben’s woodworking is fantastic and they are unique.
We are veteran HGTV viewers. We love Home Town. Best renovation show on TV. Erin and Ben are the real thing and the small town atmosphere is great.
I love this show. Ben and Erin show insight to small town living and that everyone does not need this huge homes and can find joy in more simple living. I find them very refreshing
This show is the WORST show on your network. As other commenters have said, the woman is horrible and I can’t even watch the commercials any more, beside the fact you are flooding commercial air time trying to sell this stupid show – I change the channel immediately. And her voice….. it’s like fingernails on a chalkboard.
CANCEL THIS SHOW!!!!
Love, love, love this show! Ben is so handy and talented, and Erin is a breath of fresh air and very creative. Makes me want to move to Laurel. Wish it was on more than once a week. Please renew and renew!
