Looks like Lucifer Morningstar isn’t quite a lucky devil any longer. His show’s ratings have fallen year after year and so, FOX has cancelled its Lucifer TV show. Sadly, fans of the supernatural crime drama won’t be seeing a fourth season this fall.
A FOX comedy-drama, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer, Scarlett Estevez, and Tom Welling. The supernatural procedural centers on Lucifer Morningstar (Ellis) who abandoned his throne, retired to Los Angeles, opened up a nightclub, and started helping LAPD Detective Chloe Decker (German) crack cases.
Lucifer: A Look at the Ratings
The third season of Lucifer is averaging a 0.83 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.30 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 20% and down by 10%, respectively. While those declines aren’t huge, the series has seen dips in its ratings each season and the series could easily have been cancelled before. Apparently, the ratings dipped just a bit too low.
Out of the scripted FOX TV shows we’re tracking, Lucifer ranks 13th in terms of its demo performance and rises to 10th place in terms of average total audience size.
Lucifer showrunner Joe Henderson broke the bad news this afternoon.
So… yeah. #Lucifer has been cancelled. And it fucking HURTS. I loved this show so damn much and everyone put their heart and soul into it. Heartbreaking doesn't begin to describe.

The defacto series finale airs Monday, May 14th.

I definitely will no longer watch the FOX channel. Lucifer is the best show on TV and they canceled it just like my other show the Exorcist…Please some one pick this show up since FOX doesn’t recognize a good show when they have one . Most shows on now are all the same but not Lucifer!!! FOX you can go where Lucifer is from!

That’s bull! This show should have been renewed ! I really don’t understand television anymore. They keep renewing these stupid ass reality shows but then cancel the good shows! It’s bout not worth having television anymore.
Sadly it is likely because “reality” shows cost basically nothing to produce, just use the camera equipment you already have, pay the camera crew and recruit dumb nobodies out of the local pub or beach to create drama 🙁
No way, Lucifer has many fans in various countries. We also love the show in Europe. Why is the Fox doing that!? Big mistake!
Lucifer and The Mick deserve to be renewed. Both of them have so much potential and are two of the best shows on FOX. You can clearly tell how much effort is put in by the entire cast and crew to make such masterpieces. You guys are making huge mistake by canceling them 🙁

It’s getting to the point where we shouldn’t watch anything on FOX they don’t let any show go beyond a couple of years. Lucy has a great following…speaking of Following they cancelled that after 3 seasons. Come on FOX get somebody who knows what they are doing. Is Lethal cancelled too? or are they going to replace Crawford?
I am really sad. Finally I have seen a tv serie nice and different … Tom Ellis / Lucifer is GREAT…I am really …really sad. No more comments….I think it is sufficient…

I am outraged that Lucifer was cancelled. What is wrong with Fox. They like to cancel shows that are fun to watch and keep viewers wondering what will happen next. Lucifer was great and I looked forward to watching it each week with my husband. Shame on you Fox!!!
Please don’t cancel Lucifer I’m in Canada and this show is mine plus a whole bunch of peoples favourite, we are talking about this tv series like nothing else, it’s a very good show, please do not cancel Lucifer Morningstar

I Thought Lucifer Was A Very Original Show – Lots Of Fun (When You Find Yourself Actually Hoping That The DEVIL And The Detective Get Married And Live Happily Ever After) – The Show’s Cast Were Great And Their Respective Storylines Were Always Very Entertaining. I Feel FOX Is Making A Huge Mistake In Cancelling Lucifer – HOPEFULY ANOTHER NETWORK WILL PICKUP THE SHOW 🙂
