Does Elizabeth McCord still have it all in control during the fourth season of the Madam Secretary TV show on CBS? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Madam Secretary is cancelled or renewed for season five. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. A CBS political thriller, Madam Secretary stars Téa Leoni, Tim Daly, Bebe Neuwirth, Željko Ivanek, Keith Carradine, Sebastian Arcelus, Patina Miller, Geoffrey Arend, Erich Bergen, Kathrine Herzer, Wallis Currie-Wood, and Evan Roe. The drama follows the shrewd, determined Elizabeth McCord (Leoni). As U.S. Secretary of State, she battles office politics, while driving diplomacy and negotiating global deals.
Elizabeth was once a CIA analyst, who exited that post for ethical reasons. She later returned to public life, at the request of President Conrad Dalton (Carradine). He values her apolitical leanings, knowledge of the Middle East, flair for languages, and unconventional thinking. Elizabeth is married to Henry (Daly), a former theology professor who is now an intelligence operative. Together, they’re bringing up three children, which can really test her diplomatic skills.

We really love this show. If we cannot catch it on Sunday we watch on demand on Monday night.
The show has not been shown in the Milwaukee area since the end of January. When will it return? It shows a great measure of what the political climate within the White House could be and how the political parties’ influences might affect national and world policies. I really enjoy this show as each episode has a unique scenario. I sure hope that it isn’t on the chopping block!
My wife and I are eagerly awaiting the next new episode, and wondering what’s going on with that. We love the cast, the writing, the characters, the plots, the tackling of important issues, and the lifting of the bar, so to speak, regarding what kind of nation we can be when our “better angels” lead the way. Not quite the same level, but it still reminds me of The West Wing, and in that vein it is a much welcome series.
This is an excellent, well written, and acted program. The fact that it came on after football, whatever time that was, made watching it difficult. Change the day and time and the ratings will soar!m
This is the only network show I watch. There are so few episodes and the alternative CSI’s are terrible.
My favorite show. I will be so disappointed if it is cancelled. It is fast moving and thought provoking.
This is a great show and more people would benefit from watching. Lets you see what is going on behind things. Fiction yes but nails it to true stories. Please do not remove this show!
We absolutely love Madame Secretary. One the the very best shows on TV. Please don’t think of cancelling it. Move it to another time if you have to but don’t get rid of it.
Please do not cancelled this show I love it just put in back to 7:00 I have watched it from the start love the actors in it just put it back to regular time and get rid of those’s other series
Have watched this show since it started….ace cast that meshes well, issues come up that are meaty enough for the hour, love seeing Tea Leoni in this role doing well and all the other actors, please keep it on. Was disappointed not to see it last Sunday night. I like the time slot. liked the episode about the president starting to act unlike himself….well handled, showing this process is not easy and takes careful deliberation not at all lightly taken.
I have been in love with Madam Secretary since season 1. I hope it goes on for at least another 10 seasons & keep them married.
Please don’t cancel one of the BEST shows on TV right now! My husband and I talk about how well written this show is and how it’s amazing how well it they incorporate current events into it.
