In its first season on CBS, Matt LeBlanc’s Man with a Plan TV show landed in about the middle of the pack, ratings-wise. Can it build up its audience in the second season, or will viewers start to drift away, as they did from The Odd Couple, starring LeBlanc’s fellow Friends vet Matthew Perry? Will Man with a Plan be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
A CBS family comedy, Man with a Plan stars LeBlanc as a contractor named Adam. The cast also includes Liza Snyder, Kevin Nealon, Stacy Keach, Grace Kaufman, Matthew McCann, Hala Finley, and Matt Cook. When Adam’s wife, Andi (Snyder), returns to work, this old-school dad has to step up his home game with the kids and finds it harder than he thought possible. Meanwhile, he’s trying to run his business with his brother, Don (Nealon), and put up with bad advice from his father, Joe (Keach). Aside from Andi, Adam’s best ally is his friend, Lowell (Cook). Still, he’s determined to “nail” this job.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. *5/12/18 update: CBS has renewed their Man with a Plan TV show for a third season. Details here.
I really enjoy the show, but the Lowell character has to go!! Kevin Nelan is funny enough to carry the show and Lowell is just stupid and pathetic.
Really like the show. Hope it stays on. Great writing.
The character of Joey was hilarious! I think this is a great show and Adam’s father is really funny and added something to the show this season.
Matt LeBlanc wasnt great in friends but i really like Liza Snyder so i thought id see if i like the show and it is funny season one was good and the start of season two is good also i enjoy this show and his brother it would be good if he had a bigger roll because he is the best one on the show best comedy show since “2 Broke Girls”
Joey was my least favorite “Friend”. And “Joey” was awful. For some ungodly reason, I gave this show a chance and I’m glad I did. It’s actually pretty funny. The brother is the best part.
I think Joey was one of the funniest idk what your talking about
I wasn’t a real fan of the Joey character on friends but I am very much enjoying Matt LeBlanc’s new show Man with a Plan he has a great supporting cast and the show is really funny. Matt has come into his own as a leading man. The shows are funny and relevant without being offensive. So tired of couples yelling at each other for entire episode . The characters of they play work things out in the best interest of their family, they can have a disagreement with being mean spirited. I hope it is renewed for season 3
