There are more Manifest mysteries to be solved but viewers won’t get answers on the peacock network. NBC has cancelled the TV series so, there won’t be a fourth season.
An action-drama series, the Manifest TV show stars Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, Athena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise, Jack Messina, Parveen Kaur, Matt Long, and Holly Taylor. After a turbulent but routine flight, the crew and passengers of Flight 828 disembarked to find the world had aged more than five years. Their friends, families, and colleagues had given up hope of ever seeing them again. In season three, faced with the impossible, the passengers’ dreams of a second chance at life evaporate as they encounter imminent dangers surrounding them, both tangible and unexplained. In season three, new challenges will test the Stone family’s trust of “the callings” and each other. Sticking together is more important than ever, because no matter what happens, it’s all connected.
The third season of Manifest averaged a 0.47 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.07 million viewers in the live+same day ratings. Compared to season two, that’s down by 31% in the demo and down by 21% in viewership. The finale aired last week.
Manifest creator Jeff Rake has spoken about having a six-season plan for the show and broke the news of the cancellation via Twitter.
My dear Manifesters,
I’m devastated by NBC’s decision to cancel us. That we’ve been shut down in the middle is a gut punch to say the least. Hoping to find a new home. You the fans deserve an ending to your story. Thanks for the love shown to me, cast, and crew. #savemanifest

Warner Bros. TV, which co-produces the series, is expected to shop season four elsewhere. Manifest has reportedly performed well on Netflix so the streamer may be an option.
What do you think? Are you disappointed by the Manifest TV series cancellation? Would you have watched a fourth season?
The finale of season 3 was the best writing for the show in a long time. Season one was great. Season 2 and most of season 3 was a constant introduction of storylines that would vanish quicker than the ark wood, only they didn’t reappear. Each episode felt like the show moved fast yet never made it anywhere.
Seriously?? With the likes of naked and afraid and Hells kitchen crap out there you finally give us some great escapism and then pull the plug. Disgusted.
NBC is killing me right now!! Cancelling all my favorite shows. WTH
UGHHHHHH Why do ya’ll keep doing this crap !!!! Every damn time these stupid Networks cancel a great show and that’s agrevating in itself but its a whole different thing to always leave us Fans with a HUGE cliffhanger wanting to know what happen to their favorite characters !! WWHHYYYY !!
I lost interest midway through the 2nd season, which is remarkable for me, since anything Sci-fi related tends to hold my attention–but “death day’s?” The acting was (is?) superlative given the material they had (have?) to work with, but really, Manifest is a 3-4 season series anyway. It probably could have been satisfactorily resolved in 2.
You lasted longer than I did. I quit early season two, after the excellent season one got me hooked. It just went downhill very quickly.
This is BS how do you cancel a show after 4 seasons with so many unresolved plot issues. I’m DONE with NETWORK TV. It’s hard to believe that they would cancel this and keep so much mindless clutter. This was a show that was well acted and made you think. FOX is also
done this to really good shows
Not surprising, it seems that all the good shows get canceled & the others keep going. It makes no sense that Manifest being the great show that it is gets canceled, WHY!!!!!!!!
I’m so mad!!!! I just told my daughter they should watch all seasons bc it’s like LOST! I’m so disappointed for them to not let it wrap up!
I couldn’t agree MORE!
People need to wake up to the fact that scripted shows on broadcast channels are being written by D-League writers. That highly vaunted season/series finale was so riveting, I already forgot what happened. TV execs just don’t have the heart to put effort into scripted series anymore. It’s obvious they are realizing that premium channel and streaming services are blowing their pants off with much better stories to tell and are budgeted to tell it right. It’s over, folks. Stop having expectations that TV is about you, it’s always been about the sponsor. You aren’t paying for the shows, ergo,… Read more »
Thank you, finally someone who gets it. Leave the emotions out of it, people. It’s just tv.
So disappointed by this … I’ve just gotten into the show once netflix picked it up and watched the third season on peacock… I am in love with this show … I just pray netflix picks it up and continues it…. I will be so devestated if they don’t.
The current is to cancel a program at a cliffhanger because of “numbers”. This causes future apprehension to get emotionally involved with another show, knowing it will be cancelled at the most inopportune moment.
Suggest follow a follow up show after a cancellation. The public is losing confidence with the networks.
Every single time I like something, they cancel it. Ugh
No, Mr. Rake, you don’t get to say “They {NBC} cancelled us halfway through”. You don’t determine how long a series runs. The market determines it.
Good show, but too much ‘Days of our Lives’ and not enough ‘The Twilight Zone’. How do you lose over 8% of your audience halfway through the 2-hour finale?
Yeah, they really ventured into soap territory in season 2. I quit early season two, which was disappointing since season 1 was so excellent. As for the lost viewership, not surprising. The ratings were really low in Season 3. They lost 3/4 of their audience from S1-S3.
How can they cancel this show without an ending. At least give us Season 4 and closure. Don’t leave us hanging. Love This Show!!! Please Bring It Back!
Not surprised. Every episode this season seemed slower and drawn out for the sake of being slower and drawn out. Not sure you could make six, 20+ episode seasons based on the original premise.
