Inspired by a real medical director’s experience at the oldest public hospital in America, the New Amsterdam TV show follows a caring young doctor who wants to fix the system and maybe even inspire his colleagues to help.
Doctor Max Goodwin (Eggold) is a caring and charming, yet no-nonsense physician. His goal is to fix a broken medical system and to provide exceptional care to the people who need it most. He inspires (almost) everyone around him, and will stop at nothing to breathe new life into the understaffed, underfunded and underappreciated hospital.
New Amsterdam is the only facility in the world capable of treating Ebola patients, prisoners from Rikers Island, and the President of the United States.
Goodwin’s colleagues include brilliant Doctor Hana Sharpe (Agyeman), upbeat Doctor Lauren Bloom ( Montgomery), driven Doctor Floyd Reynolds (Sims), enthusiastic Doctor Iggy Frome (Labine), and astute Doctor Vijay Kapoor (Kher).

This is truly an amazing inspiring show with an excellent cast. It is uplifting, very captivating and you cant wait till the next week to follow this series. There should be more shows as is New Amsterdam. Cudoes to all

I absolutely adore New Amsterdam. When so many medical / hospital shows are full of angry encounters between staff and management -(or staff against staff), more about who’s sleeping with whom, and showcasing the worst traits of humanity, New Amsterdam is a fresh show that oozes hope and kindness without being corny. What’s not to like? We need more shows like this. I love the characters, the storylines, and the very fact that it’s a feel-good show! PLEASE RENEW NEW AMSTERDAM!
