Good news for two recurring performers likely spells great news for fans of ABC’s October Road.
Actors Lindy Booth (as Pizza Girl) and Rebecca Field (as Janet the Planet) have recently been promoted from recurring guests to regular castmembers — for the next season of Road. Though the drama series has not officially been renewed for another season, this backstage move strongly indicates that ABC will renew Road.
Had they remained recurring guests, Field and Booth would have been free to take on other roles and test for new show pilots. This bump in status, prior to the end of October Road’s first season on Thursday night, keeps the actors locked in for next season when their characters’ storylines would presumably be expanded.

October Road has uniquely human characters, always interesting. A wonderfully entertaining show and so great also NOT to be violence based.
October Road is a great show. I love it!!! Nick is sooooo hot!! ABC, please, please, please bring this show back for a second season.
I LOVE OCTOBER ROAD!!! I really hope it comes back for another season!!! This is the first show i’ve ever been truely attached to! i NEVER miss it!!
It’s an amazing thing when a new show on regular TV (not HBO or Showtime)is enjoyable enough so that if I can’t see it, I’ll DVR it!! I don’t think that I’ve done that since “Cheers” Network, do yourselves a favor and get this show back on a regular schedule so you don’t screw it up and lose the fan base that show now has. Don’t do your usual bonehead move and cancel a show this good and stick with some intellectually stinkpot of a show.

This is a show my husband and I never miss. Every episode feels like a little movie. We will be so sad if it isn’t renewed. This is the first post I have ever made but felt I had to add my support.
I love this show!! Don’t cancel it, it is so good! The story line is different and I want to find out what happens!!!

Has anyone heard any news regarding season 2 of October Road? October Road has an opportunity if we keep voicing our opions to ABC. I haven’t feel for a show in some time, October Road has my full attention. I couldn’t wait for Thursday to get here, now that’s October Road has ended for now, I have nothing I like to watch. ABC has to bring it back, to many questions remains unanswered. I WANT TO KNOW WHO THE FATHER IS!!!

I’m not a “TV” person…i would rather read a book rather than struggle to find something worth watching on the tube…than along came “October Road”….I LOVE IT!!!!! Every actor on that show is perfect for their roll….YOU have to renew. Don’t make me return to the books!! NOW IF October Road were a book I wouldn’t put it down!

I absolutely love this show! The season (if you can call it that) finale was awesom! ABC has to bring this show back and give the fans a chance to prove their viewership!!!
