Good news for two recurring performers likely spells great news for fans of ABC’s October Road.
Actors Lindy Booth (as Pizza Girl) and Rebecca Field (as Janet the Planet) have recently been promoted from recurring guests to regular castmembers — for the next season of Road. Though the drama series has not officially been renewed for another season, this backstage move strongly indicates that ABC will renew Road.
Had they remained recurring guests, Field and Booth would have been free to take on other roles and test for new show pilots. This bump in status, prior to the end of October Road’s first season on Thursday night, keeps the actors locked in for next season when their characters’ storylines would presumably be expanded.

This is one of the best shows that ABC has come out with in a long time. It gave me a reason to watch television. I hope that ABC has the forthsight to bring it back for another season.

october road is a fresh new show like no other its a show i will be upset if i miss an episode. the actor are great and a great story line. i hope that the show will start up again and i can’t wait to find out when its coming back

I really hope the show gets back on soon! The parallels to Beautiful Girls are fantastic and makes it that much better!
Love this show, please bring back for 2nd full season. It is a hit!! I was lucky enought to watch the first night after Grey’s Anotomy since E.R. was not on, otherwise I would have missed out on the opportunity and I would never have become hooked. I can’t wait to see what happens each week. Thanks for a great show, keep more seasons coming!!!

Don’t cancel it! It’s finally a show I can relate to! I used to be a #1 fan of Grey’s Anatomy, but now October Road has won my heart. Great job ABC on picking a winner!

Great show. Every episode got better and better, characters developed more, music developed. Anyone who grew up and lived in a small town, God bless ’em, can identify with someone in this show. For me, it’s Janet. GOT to find out what happens with her and Eddie. Season finale with them was priceless. ABC, do the smart thing and renew this show.

My husband HATES Tv but he loves October Road and so do I!! We will be more than bummed out if it doesn’t return! We are hoping for a full season starting in the Fall! I NEEEED to find out what happens to Eddie and Janet! The best show since “Grey’s” for sure! Cool..interesting new premise and wonderful cast. October road is a great show. I think it has the chance of becoming a blockbuster. I love the small town feel and the cast truely bring the characters to life. Abc, bring it back for another season,PLEASE!
