The alphabet network already wants some additional episodes of their upcoming series, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. ABC initially ordered 13 episodes.
EW reports that it’s unclear how many more installments are being ordered but it’s fewer than nine (which would bring the total to 22, a full season). Because the storyline is being tightly plotted in advance, there won’t be any additional episodes ordered after the first season quantity is set.
Once Upon a Time in Wonderland has been described as a limited series but in truth it could run beyond the first season. The first season’s storyline will be self-contained however, assuring viewers of an ending.
For now, we know that Wonderland will focus on the relationship between two characters, Alice (Sophie Lowe) and Cyrus (Peter Gadiot), a genie. Neither character has appeared on Once Upon a Time.
What do you think? Do you plan on watching the new Once Upon a Time in Wonderland series when it debuts this fall?
You want to know what’s funny about this story? “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” was going to have more episodes ordered, but the number wasn’t publicized or specified, and for some reason, they ended up staying at the 13 episodes that were initially ordered. The ratings for “OUaT in Wonderland” were unsatisfactory, so it was cancelled after one season anyway.
great series I will continue to watch and hope there is a season 2 but I do agree that it should be moved to sundays with once upon a time I think then it will truly get the ratings that it diserves
