TV show description:
This drama series is set in the rugged hills of Appalachia and follows the Farrell clan. They are a tight-knit family of renegades who have lived atop Shay Mountain for over two hundred years.
The Farrells live off the grid and above the law, enforcing their own set of long-held values and beliefs. They are governed by a simple but powerful tribal authority led by a Bren’in, or ruler, and a small council of elders.
Notoriously secretive and unforgiving when crossed, the Farrells find themselves in conflict with the residents of the nearest town nestled at the foot of Shay Mountain. These locals — and all others outside the tribe — embody greed, malice and all forms of corruption that must be avoided at any cost. Direct contact with the ‘Losties’ (as named by the Farrells) is strictly forbidden.
For the last 20 years, an uneasy truce has generally presided between the ‘Losties’ and the family tribe of Shay Mountain — until Big Coal enters the arena. Never ones to back down from a fight, the Farrells will ultimately defend their way of life using any available means.
Characters include: Big Foster (David Morse), the gruff and powerful heir to tribe leadership. His son is Lil Foster (Ryan Hurst), a massive mountain man.
Young and intuitive Hasil (Kyle Gallner) feels rejected by the group. Lady Ray (Phyllis Somerville), the regal yet tough leader of the Farrell clan.
Asa (Joe Anderson) is a former member of the Farrell clan looking to rejoin the family after a 10-year stint with the outside world. Asa’s trusted confidante is G’Winveer (Gillian Alexy), a healer and a survivor.
Beautiful and young, Sally-Ann (Christina Jackson) is from a mining town and she’s fascinated by the Farrells (Hasil, in particular).
Haylie (Francie Swift) is a clever and cunning all-American community relations manager who represents the encroaching coal company.
Sheriff Wade Houghton (Thomas M. Wright) is a cop who has a rough and mysterious history with the Farrells, and grapples with several personal troubles of his own.

What do you think? Do you like the Outsiders TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
I think it’s a damn shame that the powers that be bring a super show like Outsiders out only to let it die for reasons untold. My wife and I are retired so we have the time to really enjoy a great series like this and we would like to see at least a finale that raps up all the open questions. What really happened, not enough money being made or too much of a hot topic to handle!
Please renew this show! We love it and want more!
RENEW and at least finish the story
Keep This show on Please. Outsiders is a great show
This was one of the “Best” shows on TV!! What’s up? Is everything good being canceled?? I’m sick over this!!!
I loved this show. We watched it every week. Maybe I should stop watching WGN.
I think this show should not have been cancelled. I enjoyed this show. I was looking forward to seeing what the Farrell’s were going to do next to save their home. I don’t understand these networks. They rather keep all these stupid reality shows, talk shows, and some other stupid comedies on air rather than show something that has meaning and has actually been happening throughout time-big business taking over family land and property for gain.
This is so disappointing.
Why was this cancelled? You have to give shows a chance for longer than 2 seasons! Look how long Cheers was on the air before it caught on. Too many stupid shows are left on air and the good ones are always cancelled. You stink
Don’t Cancel The Outsiders. And Make another Grizzly Adams. MOST Of yall younger , AND Older Folk probably never heard of it, Filmed in the 70’s. But it Was a Good Show.
If Outsiders is cancelled I will not be watching WGA… My hope is that another station picks this show up. It is one of my favorites!
Please do not cancel this show. Please Reconsider! This show is that my husband and I waited patiently for Tuesdays to come around to watch!!!!! This is an AWESOME show!
I love the outsiders can’t wait for Tuesdays to come around so I can see another episode so I vote to renew it and keep showing it cause it seems every time something good comes on it always gets cancelled so please keep it going.
Please re-consider, great show.
Don’t know why it was cancelled. It was a very entertaining show,we watched it every week. Please put it back on?
I enjoy the show and cast! I would like to see it renewed!
