TV show description:
This crime drama follows a presumed dead former-CIA agent named John Reese (Jim Caviezel) who teams up with a mysterious billionaire, Mr. Finch (Michael Emerson), who’s also believed to be dead. Their goal is to prevent violent crimes by using technology and their own brand of vigilante justice.
Finch is a software genius who has invented a program that uses pattern recognition to identify people who are about to be involved in violent crimes — either the victim or the perpetrator. It was originally built for the government to prevent another 9/11 disaster but found that it was predicting less catastrophic, “irrelevant” crimes. Finch built a “backdoor” into the machine so that, before erasing the “irrelevant” data each night, Finch is sent the social security number of a person about to be involved in a serious crime.
Finch recruits Reese because of his special training in covert operations. Using their combined skills, resources and advanced surveillance technology, they work outside of the law to identify “persons of interest” and stop crimes before they occur.
Reese’s actions draw the attention of the NYPD — including homicide detectives Carter (Taraji P. Henson) and Fusco (Kevin Chapman). The latter is a corrupt cop and Reese blackmails him into being a source of information inside the department.
With infinite crimes to investigate, Reese and Finch find that locating the right person, with the right information, at the right time, can change everything.
Episode #103 — Return 0
Finch, Reese, Fusco and Shaw embark on one last mission to prevent Samaritan from destroying The Machine and cementing its hold over mankind.
First aired: June 21, 2016.
What do you think? Do you like the Person of Interest TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a sixth season?

Great show! It depicts real situations, it has all the suspense, action of a great show. To bad it comes down to dollars and cents, CBS stating that the show broke even last year, Moonves said, while the company broke even on Person, “because Warner Bros got all that additional revenue.” and they are looking at potential revenue from campaign ads from the election. Well guess what? CBS will still loose because of the targeted age of people voting is the baby boomers and we wont be watching CBS because we don’t want to watch all the crap reality TV… Read more »
This comment block will not let me correct what is written, so what I wanted to say was that I hate “reality” shows. I hate the so called “reality”ws. Come on, who really believes that stuff, for once make a good decision and keep this show on the air for those of us who aren’t brain dead
I am utterly amazed that rubbish shows like the ridiculous Wayward Pines,,How to getcaway with murder, Sleeper Cell, which is among many of thevworst shows ever to be allowed on any network, there have been some really unwatchable dirge that seems to go on forever and you have to wonder, who the hell is watching this stuff! Yet among the top of the tops with a solid fanbase is shows of Quality, The Tunnel was exceptional, 11.22.63 was entertaining, Blindspot and Limitless share a similar storyline but both are worth watching, and among the gems of all time with multi… Read more »
I agree, this is an amazing show, but let’s leave all the garbage on TV nowadays stay and cancel the few decent remaining shows.
Person of Interest is a brilliant show, and my most favourite show on TV. It is a huge mistake to cancel this show, but CBS hates that Warner Brothers makes most of the money when it airs, so their bottom line is profit. I keep hoping and praying that another network will scoop this gem up, Netflix I am thinking of you especially. If NCIS is still going strong after 13 seasons, and Law & Order: SVU after 17 seasons then there is no reason why Person of Interest can not do the same. My own personal feeling is that… Read more »

What’s with the homophobia?
I just do not understand why they would cancel such a good tv show? Why are they renewing crapy tv shows but actually cancel the good ones? POI better be picked up by another network…
I personally enjoyed this series as we can apply this situation to a portion of our lives today. I am really sorry that this program is not going to make it next year and to let the staff know they did a great job.
I LOVED THE SHOW, BUT WHEN, THE TWO WOMEN, STARTED KISSING, I WAS DONE, GLAD IT WAS CANCELED,
Time to get up to date, it’s the 21stC and you can’t turn the clocks back to the olden days, if a daft thing like that puts you off a great show, you’re probably right to watch something else
My aren’t we intolerant!
This is one of the best series on television. If it is cancelled it should be continued on Amazon or Netflix. Take the reality shows off instead!
