TV show description:
A Southern Gothic drama, this TV show takes place in Paulie, Georgia and revolves around Daniel Holden (Aden Young) and his extended family. Daniel spent 19 years on Death Row for the rape and murder of his teenage girlfriend, Hanna Dean.
Thanks to newly discovered DNA evidence and the efforts of his sister Amantha (Abigail Spencer) and new lawyer Joe Stern (Luke Kirby), his original trial is vacated. Daniel is set free and thrust back into a world he no longer knows. Having spent his adult life waiting to die, Daniel must now learn how to live again.
He finds that his reentry into the outside world can be as unforgiving as life in prison. He is haunted by the past, dogged by the present, and uncertain of the future. As he struggles to adapt to his new life, his return reignites the fears of a small town and threaten to shatter his family’s fragile peace.
Daniel’s alleged crime divided a community and his freedom may tear it in half.

What do you think? Do you like the Rectify TV show? Do you think it should be ending? Would you watch a fifth season?
Bring the show back!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVED this show, but I think they ended it beautifully and to bring it back would ruin it. It is fairly obvious that justice will be coming to those who are still alive, maybe not retribution, but at least a reckoning of sorts, and that Daniel has found a way to find peace of sorts, sad though it may be. We can speculate that, one day, that last scene becomes not a cell-block daydream but a reality.
Yes I would
This was one of the best series I’ve ever seen i loved to hear Daniel talk hes very interesting I did love Tawney she was so adorable and sweet it almost made me cry please bring back this series!! thanks
Please bring it back. I would greatly appreciated a fifth, six season. This show the actors are wonderful. The characters they play they play with so much emotions. They draw you in we need to feel a happiness for the family. Please don’t end it like this please. Give Daniel full justice and rectify this.
Bring it back its an amazing show!!!!
My wife and I enjoyed the show and would love to have seen Daniel, the main character, all the way through to his full exoneration.
I love the show and the characters! I was disappointed that the fourth season only had 8 episodes! I hope if they renew the show! I also hope something happy happens to this family! I keep waiting for that to happen!
I love love this show . Please don’t cancel it I will be so depressed. I love the characters so much. The acting is pure quality and I adore them.
Rectify is truly a quality series. I have o depend on NETFLIX (and where is season 3???). The only other thought provoking show I have ever seen was “In Treatment”. We need to see the characters continue to evolve. Please bring back another season …….AND WORK WITH NETFLIX. I love the complexity of the writing, and the interpretation that the actors bring to RECTIFY. PLEASE don’t stop. This is southern-gothic art.
I really like this show. Hope it continues. I enjoy the slow pace – like watching a good play.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!’ I would be so upset if they ever cancelled this show. Since summer has come to an end I started walking on the Tredmill. I’m not a person that excercises I’ve tried watching tv in hopes the time would go by faster it never worked.. When watching RECTIFY!!!!!!! On Demand can’t find it on tv .. I LOOKED DOWN AT THE TIME ON MY TREDMILL & it said 33 minutes I was STUNNED at how fast the time went THATS HOW GOOD THIS SHOW IS!!!!! The writing is outstanding never dull never drags out cause… Read more »
love this show…watched it from the beginning. Glad evidence is coming out which points away from Daniel! Keep it going!
So, after reading Jayne McMahon’s post about this show, I was excited to watch this series, so I went looking for it and found Seasons 1&2 on Netflix. I binge-watched all of those episodes, followed by Season 3’s epis 1&2 On Demand through my cable provider. Needless to say, I am hooked! It deserved every bit of Jayne’s praise, and I am so glad for it. I have a new can’t-miss program in my line up! Thanks, Jayne, for leading me to it! 😉
I don’t have the Sundance channel, but found seasons 1& 2 on Netflix. I absolutely love it! I am now watching season 3 on the Sundance TV website.
Is nobody watching this brilliant show? I actually do not have Sundance TV, but have seen the first two seasons on Netflix; which were awesome. This show is so well done, it should be picked up by a network that is more widely viewed. Most basic cable customers DO NOT receive Sundance. The producers of this BRILLIANT show should make it available to more people and run it elsewhere or at least-duplicate it elsewhere.
I do! 🙂
I didn’t know about it, but with this glowing praise I will go find it and watch!
