Season five of SEAL Team is coming to CBS next week, but it won’t be on the network schedule for long. The show will air for four weeks on both CBS and Paramount+. It will then become a Paramount+ exclusive and the fifth episode will be made available immediately on the streaming service following the fourth episode’s conclusion.
The season premiere airs on CBS on October 10th, and the final CBS episode airs on October 31st. Per TV Line, Spencer Hudnut, the showrunner of the military drama, said the following:
“We’re going to go out with a bang for sure, and then start [on Paramount+] with an even bigger bang.”
The following was revealed about the start of the season in a press release:
“Season 5 of SEAL Team picks up where Season 4 left off with all of Bravo working on themselves and their home life. Bravo team will have to find their own personal sanctuaries as the war on terror enters its 3rd decade.”
David Boreanaz, Max Thieriot, Neil Brown Jr., AJ Buckley, and Toni Trucks star in the military drama. Check out the preview for SEAL Team season five below.
What do you think? Are you planning to stick with SEAL Team when it moves from CBS to Paramount+?
Definitely! Love this show.
Definitely. I love this show.
please consider the vets who are big fans of this show. I myself, don’t want to pay just to watch my favorite show.
The move to paramount is all about $$$. The to try and hook some people on it and then pull the rug out again. Wrong!!! So much moving around its not good for viewers. Ask Nascar….
Absolutely !
Leave seal tram on cbs
This is my favorite show of ALL shows! I am a very loyal fan of the show (since the beginning) and it’s cast as well as CBS. Up til now I haven’t had cable nor needed it. In fact ALL the shows I watched were on CBS. Unfortunately now I must get a streaming membership and incur a cost to watch one show -Seal Team! Yes I will continue to watch because it is my favorite. Thanks for messing up a good thing CBS!
The executives at CBS are really greedy, that’s what I think. Look, I have Paramount + for shows I choose to view “commercial free.” I despise commercials these days for various reasons, so I stream to avoid them. That said, you guys put SEAL Team out on network television for four years, see its success, and it’s all so you can move it to your SUBSCRIPTION BASED streaming service exclusively? Really? In my opinion, that just seems really crappy. Will you make more money doing this? Perhaps, but is it the right thing to do, especially with today’s inflation?? Absolutely… Read more »
As my husband has pointed out, because of the high production value of this show, it is very expensive to produce (BTW, I have no Hollywood connection. I am a vet and live in Virginia. ) We were concerned that due to it’s high production cost, it may have been canceled. So, as a fan of this show, i am happy it is not canceled, yet moved to Paramount+ as an option to keep the show running!!!
Interesting. Expensive, indeed. So, pass the costs down to consumers directly, instead of to the advertisers, who make money by selling their products to the consumers who view the show? They advertise to the show’s demographics. How much are the advertisers willing to pay for a 30 sec. to 1 min. slot during this prime time show? My assumption is, that it’s more than enough. And make no mistake, if it wasn’t, the show would not have lasted for four seasons plus now. So i’ll stick to my original assessment and push back with my original comment, that CBS is… Read more »
Well, I will watch the final episodes of “Seal Team” on CBS, but I won’t pay for ANY streaming services. Sorry to see it leave!
No…will only watch on CBS
Why tease us with 3 episodes and then move?
Excellent Question, Sande! Sorry … I doubt you will ever get an answer.
Too bad going better on paramount plus which ridiculous don’t pay for it use someone account which stupid not right do it.
What?
I don’t understand what you are trying to say.
That STINKS! What if people who are loyal fans cannot afford to use paramount +? what about the bets who watch it?
What?
I agree! Many people may not be able to afford to watch it on Paramount. I love the show but turning it into a pay to watch situation is disturbing.
I will miss Seal Team as most of us here at work do not have internet at home. Therefore Paramount+ is out of the question for us. There are many others that I talked to that do not have streaming services. We are disappointed as years ago if you had cable, Dish, Direct TV etc you paid for all your programs and didn’t have to pay separate for Hulu, Disney+, CBS+ or many of the other Streaming Services. So sad. It was a good series and we will all miss it.
CBS just sucks! Why broadcast ANY shows? Move to Paramount + (The + is for + dollars $$$)
Joseph I Totally agree!
Well said!
