Last year, the vast majority of network TV shows saw big drops in their same day ratings. However, FOX’s Star TV series drew essentially the same numbers — an impressive fete these days. How will Star perform in season three? Will the ratings rise or fall? Will it be cancelled or, is it all but guaranteed to be renewed for a fourth season? Stay tuned. **Status update below.
A drama about the music industry on FOX, the Star TV show’s cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy. The series, set in Atlanta, follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The third season picks up three months after the conclusion of season two as Star (Demorest) returns home and the fates of Alex (Destiny) and Simone (O’Grady) are revealed.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/9 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.

For comparisons: The second season of Star on FOX averaged a 1.32 rating in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic and a total audience of 4.12 million viewers.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Star TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?

I love star and you should bring it back for a 4th season. You can just get us hook on it then take it away. It’s like star said I was there for you *****es. So you can’t just take them and end it like that.
I want my favorite show star and empire to come back but I really would truly love star to come back I really love that show to come back if I can get the DVD for both I would but don’t know where to get it from
I like the TV show star I in joy watch the show every week so did my family we wish you would put it back on TV,Because it was better than some other TV show that should not be on TV at all,P it Star back on TV,Be bless Peanut
It’s on Hulu
I am truly disappointed that the show was canceled, to be honest one of my favorite shows in a long time. I was looking forward to see what the next season had in store just to see it’s been canceled and a movie is the RAP UP….. Are you kidding me a movie isn’t enough to me honestly so I wont be watching that just for another huge let down.
I think they should have made a fourth season because how you guys gonna kill off that many ppl and not continue the show now I’m wondering why you guys canceled the show and left us wondering why y’all kids star sister husband and ms.loretta sister off as well , we need a fourth season of star toy answer all our questions on why did this and that happened but if you guys love your star fans you will make a 4th season
Cancelled? Like seriously? Can you at least let it end correctly instead of leaving the fans watching , hanging? Jeebus…..I am waiting to see what transpires with Noah and Star and baby…..ARGGGGHHHHH
When will the TV movie of Star be shown? It would be nice to see a proper ending to the show.
I think Fox really lost it this time! I preferred Star over Empire. But what does the audience know? Apparently nothing since they asked for opinions then cancelled anyways. Ugh!!!
This show used to be my Wednesday night guilty pleasure, but the storylines had really gone downhill during the third season. Angel doesn’t get blown up in a car bomb, but does get mowed down at a wedding two episodes later? And what about that stupid final scene.. right after Star was pushed roughly down to the floor to avoid being shot at that wedding, but is now walking calmly (and completely unscathed) into her apartment afterward to check on the baby.. shouldn’t she be with her sister at the hospital to find out the fate of her brother-in-law? Horrible… Read more »
First of all the adrenaline keeps you going I’m sure you knew that but didn’t mention. Also when something like that happens and you’re a mother your first instinct is to think of your kids and to make sure they are safe! C’mon now Really? Poor review from someone who obviously doesn’t have a clue
plusieurs autres saisons! quand je m’attache aux personnages (et c’est le cas !) je ne lâche pas
come on Fox do it ))
