What’s This TV Show About?
A DC Comics-inspired action-adventure drama airing on The CW television network, Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, David Harewood, Calista Flockhart, Chris Wood, Floriana Lima, and Katie McGrath. The series centers on Kara Zor-El (Benoist), the cousin of Kal-El, i.e. Superman (Tyler Hoechlin). To remain safe from Krypton’s destruction, Kara grew up on Earth, as Kara Danvers, a human. For years, she kept her powers a secret. Now, as an adult, she works at CatCo Worldwide Media and also for the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government organization whose mission is to keep National City – and the Earth – safe from sinister threats.
Season Three Ratings
The third season of Supergirl averaged a 0.51 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.84 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 30% and down by 22%, respectively. Learn how Supergirl stacks up against the other CW TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Let’s get real. In 2016-17, this series was the network’s second best performer in both the demo and total viewership. Unless someone douses it with Kryptonite, I don’t think it’s getting cancelled anytime too soon. Still, I’ll keep an eye on the Nielsens and will update this page with breaking developments, while I peruse my collection of takeout menus. Should be Renewed. The best show on The CW. With the introduction of The ledgends of superheros the ratings will increase. The nine week break is the stupidest ideal ever.

This should be the last season and they can just use Arrow and Flash along with the Legends for the next crossover and add Backlighting to the crossover later on !!
Go ahead and cancel it. Mon-el returning married was stupid beyond belief. He is now redundant or is CW going have Kara marry a new widower. Dumbest thing I’ve ever seen.
The way I see i, If Arrow can introduce damian dhark and make a come back after that, then why cant supergirl make a come back after this season?
Yes they should cancelled the show it has ben for three seasons that good for it to end with a season 3!!
I like Supergirl but I was really disappointed when they brought Mon-El back into her life and he’s married. What kind of messed up is that. Now they will have to kill off Mon-El’s wife for them to be together. There really are no happy endings in the Marvel/DC Universe.
Let supergirl come back don’t leave in the middle and have more episodes in a season. Please keep supergirl
They’re only on a mid-season break. The actors need to spend time with their families for the holidays too, you know? That’s why all the shows take mid-season breaks. Anyway, as long as all the other arrowverse shows are still going, Supergirl will be too.
I love Supergirl I want Season 4 to be Renewed on The CW network not to be Cancelled I love Mon el but he is hurting Kara so much she is finding it very hard seeing Mon-el and Imana kissing in front of Kara I can see the hurt on Kara’s face and Mon-el is acting like he does not care about Kara but deep down he does

Super girl is one of the best showers on tv. It should be renewed.
One of the few tv showes that Still tries to instill morals and decency we need this on television for our children.
I do want Supergirl to come back! Mon-El as well!! It is an amazing show; with its special plot twist and tense moments, it is worth being renewed.
Just cancel it! Stop wasting Benoist’s talent!!!! Damn cw is a terrible network and the producers of this show are even WORSE ! !!

Season 3 has sucked so far and this show has been going downhill since its move to the CW. Next season, I won’t be watching it live.
I agree. Not impressed with season 3 so far. I have no issues with any of the actors in their roles as they do the best they can under the circumstances they are dealing with. It’s the writing & the action that have gone downhill.
I definitely want Supergirl renewed for a fourth season.
Melissa Benoist sucks. She is weird in an offputting way. The show should recast her with somebody more likeable who has more star quality.

Melissa Benoist is awesome and the only reason to watch Supergirl. Love her as Supergirl and anything she’s been in, she’s been great.
She was on Glee also. I like her on that show too! Why are people so down on her? I don’t get it. Hoping it doesn’t get cancelled.
