What’s This TV Show About?
A DC Comics-inspired action-adventure drama airing on The CW television network, Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, David Harewood, Calista Flockhart, Chris Wood, Floriana Lima, and Katie McGrath. The series centers on Kara Zor-El (Benoist), the cousin of Kal-El, i.e. Superman (Tyler Hoechlin). To remain safe from Krypton’s destruction, Kara grew up on Earth, as Kara Danvers, a human. For years, she kept her powers a secret. Now, as an adult, she works at CatCo Worldwide Media and also for the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government organization whose mission is to keep National City – and the Earth – safe from sinister threats.
Season Three Ratings
The third season of Supergirl averaged a 0.51 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.84 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 30% and down by 22%, respectively. Learn how Supergirl stacks up against the other CW TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Let’s get real. In 2016-17, this series was the network’s second best performer in both the demo and total viewership. Unless someone douses it with Kryptonite, I don’t think it’s getting cancelled anytime too soon. Still, I’ll keep an eye on the Nielsens and will update this page with breaking developments, while I peruse my collection of takeout menus. Supergirl should just be canceled. The writers are destroying the show. They are just wasting Melissa Benoist, Chyler Leigh, and Katie McGrath’s acting talents. I’m pretty sure they are just going to kill Imra off so Mon-El can stay and be the love interest again. I mean, that’s like a bad example of writing. Easy way out. The staff and writers are not reading fan comments at all. They still cannot write James Olsen properly. And Kara herself now has poor characterization. Why did they dumb her down? I watch Super girl every week. I have been wondering why it hasn’t been on. I would be upset if it were cancelled. Please keep it on. I wish Tom Welling would come back and play Clark Kent/Superman. I bet that would make the ratings go up.

Supergirl should have a season 4 because after watching the first two seasons and seeing the end of second season that had shown the this seasons villain leaving the same planet Supergirl was from !
Leaving question open to what was behind the end of her and Superman’s home planet and was it planed by someone or some thing !

Supergirl will need to have season 4 because timing of lost of her former villain torn friend will so that she has help someone torn good so she is hiding in a good path to showing her city that some villains can torn good !
Super-girl is one of my favorite shows right now, I hope they renew it for a fourth season. It does stink that Mon-El is married now but that’s what a good show does. They put in plot twists ands do things that make you so angry or upset. But I still believe Mon-El and Kara can get back together. And the only way I’ll ever know is if I continue watching to find out. Agreed. Definitely worth renewing. Has been a ‘bit’ corny at times. But what comic book show hasn’t? I’d be VERY disappointed in CW if they cancelled Supergirl.
well i love supergirl i cried when Mon El had to leave Kara i want them to make another season of supergirl and if they do i want Mon El to come back to Kara and he was not married to anyone his mom tried to get Mon El to marry Kara’s friend but they got saved.
