Plans for Thony in the 2025-25 television season are DOA. FOX has cancelled The Cleaning Lady, so there won’t be a fifth season. The show’s fourth season of 12 episodes finished airing on Tuesday.
A crime drama series, The Cleaning Lady TV show stars Elodie Yung, Martha Millan, Khalen Roman Sanchez, Faith Bryant, Kate Del Castillo, and Sean Lew. Yancey Arias, Daniel Bonjour, Danny Pardo, Brian Norris, and Alain Uy recur. In the story, Thony De La Rosa (Yung) is a whip-smart Cambodian doctor who comes to the U.S. for medical treatment to save her son, Luca (Sanchez), who’s been diagnosed with a life-threatening immunodeficiency disorder. When the system pushes her into hiding, Thony refuses to give up and becomes a cleaning lady for a powerful crime syndicate. She then becomes a mob doctor. Under the watchful eye of the hospital’s brusque yet handsome chief resident, Dr. Sean Dupont (Bonjour), Thony straddles the line between two worlds until they inevitably come crashing into each other.
Airing on Tuesday nights, the fourth season of The Cleaning Lady averaged a 0.13 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.12 million viewers (includes DVR playback through 3:00 AM). Compared to season three, that’s down by 11% in the demo and down by 9% in viewership.
The show is a co-production with Warner Bros. Television, so Fox Entertainment also must share the profits with the external studio. Cleaning Lady also had to undergo a creative change this season following the death of co-star Adan Canto.
While the drama still has some passionate followers, the ratings have dropped quite a bit. In the demo, it’s FOX’s second-lowest-rated scripted series, only beating Alert: Missing Persons Unit (which was also cancelled today).

This show got totally unrealistic, it was a good premise in the beginning, but every season got worse. I also think it made that culture look like criminals and thugs. Glad it is cancelled.

I always thought that show stared Zoe Soledono, or however you say her name. I guess not.
No with it ending like that there is more they could do in the cleaning lady so disappointed it has been cancelled. Will never know if thony takes over or if Jorge ever comes back ☹️
I am incredibly disappointed. I agree with Sherry, make a TV movie to close the arc of the characters. Poor decision to end this series. Boo.
I’m disappointed. The show hit a rough patch with the death of Mr. Canto. The writers got the show back on track and this season was fantastic. I was looking forward to next season. Wish they could at least make a movie for closure.
It was still good, and I did like Jorge, but was never the same without Adan Canto. I really liked him alot. Was so sad to hear of his passing.

The Cleaning Lady and Alert were my favourites.
Stick them on subscription because I would genuinely pay to watch these.
Never watched Law & Order or Chicago trilogy.

We lost a lot of shows recently, I hate reality TV and talent shows because they’re demeaning to the disabled.
I am so disappointed that the cleaning lady was canceled. I thought season three was OK but that season four was wonderful! It was getting really really good. I wish someone else would pick it up! I am sad!

I can’t believe my favorite series was cancelled! The Cleaning Lady was the best drama series on TV! Fox really sucks they canceled all good shows and you really are horrible for doing this!
yeah i liked the show soon there will be only crap to watch all good shows get cancelled while crap shows get renewed doesnt matter ive given up on streaming so they can do what they like soon no tv
My wife and I love watching The Cleaning Lady so we are extremely disappointed that it has been cancelled.
