TV show description:
From creators Craig Sweeny and Craig Turk, The Code TV show is a military legal drama. The series unfolds at the Judge Advocate General Headquarters in Quantico, Virginia and centers on the prosecutors, defense lawyers, and investigators who work on the legal challenges facing the U.S. Marine Corps.
A motivated man from a military family, Captain John “Abe” Abraham (Mitchell) has a passion for his work as a prosecutor and a deep sense of responsibility. His colleague, Captain Maya Dobbins (Wood) is a good friend, despite her position as the lead defense attorney. As dedicated as she is to the Corps and her clients, she is even more devoted to the truth.
Abe’s superior, Major Trey Ferry (Essandoh) is a dogged prosecutor who is relentless in the pursuit of suspects. Meanwhile, as one of the JAG’s highest-ranking women, commanding officer Colonel Glenn Turnbull (Delaney) expects nothing but the best from her staff. It’s her high standards for herself, however, that inspire their fierce loyalty.
Rounding out the team are Lt. Harper Li (Soo), a lawyer who is itching for a challenge, and Warrant Officer Rami Ahmadi (Barsoumian) who assists the lawyers in most aspects of their work.
As active-duty members of the U.S. Marines, these attorneys are duty and honor-bound to serve the country they love, as they seek military justice, both at home and abroad.
Series Finale:
Episode #12 — Legit Bad Day
Abe’s colleagues must defend and reluctantly prosecute him when he is arrested and court-martialed for mutiny in regard to a 2010 mission in Afghanistan, where he was one of the only survivors.
First aired: July 22, 2019.
What do you think? Do you like The Code TV series? Should this CBS TV show have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I can’t believe people love this show My son. is a USMC JA and . is assigned to Quantico right now. He can’t stand the watch this showl. Not even close to reality. 1. you are either defense or prosecution, you dont get to change back and forth. 2. there are plenty of JA’s in theater, they would NEVER send a JA from Quantico in full battle rattle to interview a witness. 3.the one episode when the JA gets the Bronze Star after she had to be forced to shoot her weapon was his last straw. He never watched another… Read more »
its a tv show. hint: cop shows are mostly B.S., they shoot the crap out of people, and there are no internal investigations or papework or follow up. just keep shooting. its entertainment. and the show raised some good issues. btw, I was in the Suck too. 1969 to 1972.
The Code is a great show, much better than MANY of the other poorly written sophomoric excuses for shows on CBS.
I hope The Code is picked up by another network and it goes onto the success it can be, showing once again just how wrong CBS is when it comes to knowing what Americans want in entertainment. I for one will go elsewhere and watch the CBS Network ratings continue to plunge.
I thought it was great. I watched and really got into the characters. I was hoping for it not to be cancelled. Give it time.
Yes I believe it was a great drama to add to lineup. The Code has to be hard to rate when so many Dish customers have been blocked for now. The characters are great.
Renew
Yes, please renew. This show deals with intriguing subjects. Engaging cast and challenging topics.
Please, please reconsider! I LOVE this show!
It figures. Quality shows like The Code get canceled while nonsense like Big Brother keeps on playing.
I really enjoyed The Code. The actors were believable and the stories were good.
We really like The Code and cast and watched every episode. It showed both sides of their lives, not simply arbitrations. I for one loved the series JAG and The Code rates right up there for enjoyment versus the antics of simpering unacceptable antics of the “reality” shows that are being aired. The cast work so well with each and every one of the issues presented and their interaction is terrific. Just as any new show, each week the gets better as we expected it would. To cancel it after one season is just wrong! CBS is making a mistake.
Never heard of the series. If it is not replayed on Hulu, I don’t know it exists. So sad that CBS does not put their shows on Hulu.
I really like The Code! I watched every episode of JAG at least once and I think The Code is at least as good and maybe better. If you compare the first 12 episodes of each series, The Code episodes are more credible, better written and better acted. The cast chemistry of both series is good to excellent and The Code is improving with each episode. CBS had a big win when they picked JAG from NBC after that network cancelled the series after Season 1. CBS needs to avoid that same mistake. The Code is a winner!!! JB

Enjoy The Code on CBS. Hopefully, the show will return for a second season. I will definitely watch. Good writing and the actors work well together. Big fan of law shows. Please CBS, do no cancel this wonderful show. It is great.
Renew …really like this show!
THE CODE is a very high quality show. I’d hate to lose it. It’s best as a summer series like it is now.
ABC cancelled FOR THE PEOPLE which is a similar program, and well written as THE CODE is. I hope CBS decides to keep it.
