What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the OWN cable channel, The Haves and the Have Nots stars John Schneider, Tika Sumpter, Angela Robinson, Renee Lawless, Crystal Fox, Peter Parros, Tyler Lepley, Gavin Houston, and Aaron O’Connell. The drama centers on the complicated dynamic between the Cryer, Harrington, and Young families of Savannah, Georgia. In season eight of this drama series from Tyler Perry, Judge Cryer (Schneider) and his rich friends are all finding out what happens when personal flaws go unchecked. Karma has not been kind to the elite one-percenters.
Season Eight Ratings
The eighth season of The Haves and the Have Nots averaged a 0.16 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.01 million viewers. Compared to season seven, that’s down by 35% in the demo and down by 25% in viewership. Find out how The Haves and the Have Nots stacks up against other OWN TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will OWN cancel or renew The Haves and the Have Nots for season nine? In 2019, Houston said that he was about to start filming the ninth season of the series. OWN has been mum about the show’s future and, in 2017, Perry signed a deal to produce 90 episodes of television for ViacomCBS outlets (including BET and BET+) so that’s been keeping him very busy. It’s wrong if Tyler Perry cancelled this show it was the best show it was ridiculous that he left us hanging with if loving you is wrong he needs to stick with what he started out with not keep starting new show’s be like the soaps come on Tyler even as being madea you’re doing good but don’t keep switching not kool people will stop watching cuz you doing too much and the people you help get started they will be still increasing while you you want come for real
Haves and Haves Nots is a great show that I watch weekly. Please do not cancel, I want to see Candace in the White House!!!!!

Great show. I never miss it. However, the storyline seen to limited. What, in my opinion, is for Candace to marry the President Elect. That, alone with some good writing can extend the show for two years.

PzLEASE DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW! I have been watching from the beginning. I LOVE this show! I called a lot of my friends who also LOVE this show and they had no idea that Season 8 had started. Why has the advertising gone down? That has a lot to do with the ratings. I don’t miss an episode and am looking forward to SEASON 9..Please??!!

I’ve still been watching the show each week, but it has been really disappointing. I keep watching, hoping it will get better, but it seems to be getting worse. The writing for the show is just . . . well, it hasn’t been good. Not sure WHAT happened this season

When it became more governmental(someone trying to step into a legislative position from
another country) I found it difficult to keep up with the whole scenario.
I lost interest.
