We have to go back! In an exclusive, Entertainment Weekly (EW) reports NBC‘s Mysteries of Laura will feature a mini-Lost reunion. Lost ended its run on ABC, after six seasons, in 2010.
Harold Perrineau, who played Lost‘s Michael Dawson, and Greg Grunberg, who played the doomed pilot of Ocean flight 815, will soon guest star on Mysteries of Laura. The show stars Debra Messing as Laura Diamond, single mom and NYPD detective.
From EW:
When a tragic accident involving a prominent sports doctor turns into a murder investigation, Laura (Messing) and team work together to track down the killer. Perrineau, who played constantly-screaming-Waaaaaaaaaaalt survivor Michael Dawson, will portray Charles Baptise, a tiger dad with Olympic-sized anger issues whose son is a former Olympic gymnast. Heroes alum Grunberg, who portrayed the pilot of the ill-fated Oceanic flight 815, will play Kurt Berhenson, an ex-husband fighting over custody of his son and a loyal member of a men’s rights group.
The duo will be joined in the twelfth episode, “The Mystery of the Morning Jog,” by recurring stars Robert Klein, who plays Leo Diamond, Laura’s scrappy force-of-nature father, and Neal Bledsoe as Laura’s sexy chef boyfriend, Tony Abbott.
It seems the island is done with them, now.
What do you think? Do you watch the Mysteries of Laura TV show? Were you a fan of Lost? Will you tune in to check out Perrineau and Grunberg’s guest turn?
I believe that it should come I enjoyed it a lot I hated it if I missed an episode. I rarely watch tv because I do not find very many shows I enjoy but I really did this one and I love the cast. Please bring it back.
I have to agree with worthmagic- The characters and plot lines of this show are predictable, unimaginative and boring. I think there was one episode where Laura thought her boss was a murderer despite a lack of evidence she decides to confront him in public at a funeral. That just doesn’t make sense when she has ample opportunity to confront him. There are other instances of bad writing ( and in some cases bad acting) I could mention but I will spare you. I think this show is heading, deservedly, to cancellation.
Mysteries of Laura is a piece of garbage and NBC is almost definitely NOT BRINGING IT BACK! it is averaging a 1.1 for 8 episodes this season and I doubt the next 8 will average any better. Ratings that lousy lead to CANCELLATION. I suggest every single MOL fans need to watch the show because it deserves to be a GONER, and it hopefully will be. NBC brought it back not because it was a good show. They brought it back because otherwise Every New Show in 2014-15 on NBC would have been CANCELLED, and that would have been HUMILIATING.
exactly right!
