TV show description:
From creator and star, Seth MacFarlane, The Orville TV show is a live-action space adventure, set 400 years in the future. The story centers on the crew of a mid-level exploratory spaceship, The U.S.S. Orville.
In 2417, Ed Mercer (MacFarlane) is promoted to captain the Orville, with the assistance of First Officer Kelly Grayson (Palicki). Unfortunately, she’s his ex-wife, and her presence acts as a bridle on his enthusiasm.
Dr. Claire Finn (Jerald); helmsman Gordon Malloy (Grimes); Lt. Commander Bortus (Macon); his mate, Klyden (Coleman); security officer Alara Kitan (Sage); navigator John LaMarr (Lee); and A.I. life-form Isaac (Jackson) round out the crew. Whether facing off with the Krill, a dangerous alien race, or attempting rescues on behalf of the Planetary Union, these humans and aliens still must deal with their mundane issues and each other.

love this show! no one does a better job than Seth. His love for the trekky vibe shows thru and thru. After the next generation, this show is the only show to give me the feels i had from that show. Great job creators! this show is my favorite for adult “family guy” type humor mixed in with space exploration imagination and life lessons included of course, which sets this show as the antithesis of awesome! please renew!
I absolutely ADORE The Orville. I am a life-long Star Trek fan (especially Next Generation) and have been feeling withdrawal symptoms since it went off the air. Not saying this is like Star Trek (well, it is–sort of, which is a good thing), but I am riveted each week. Two reasons: it’s funny when it’s supposed to be, and downright dramatic, emotional and cry-worthy at others. Genius blend of both. Every character is spot-on right for the job! Great special effects and plots getting better over time. Really nice to have a sci fi show that doesn’t take itself so seriously that it can’t have fun. Norm McDonald’s character is a delight! Keep this one going.

It’s a great show that has matured nicely in storylines & character development & remains fresh & exhilarating every episode.
The Orville takes a comedic or sometimes semi-serious look at issues that we face today, set in a distant future. I enjoy the way they try to show all sides…I may agree or disagree with the way the show depicts it’s issues, but I always enjoy how they make me THINK about it, and entertain me as they do so.
Please renew this show…one of the most worthwhile shows on TV today.
I can’t find any link to vote 10.00 for Orville so how is this fair to say x number of people rated this show? Maybe it is ST based but it is much better than the ST Discovery/Dysfunctional. I watch it every week and I know many others who watch this show, another case of TV raters/media pundits bring the ratings down on a good show. Probably the same snobs who voted for chariots of fire!!!

This show needs to be renewed! It’s the only good thing on TV these days! Family Guy and American Dad are good but the orville is sk much more!
Please don’t cancel this show, like you do so many other good shows, for instance Last Man on Earth. It took awhile to catch on but became really good show! Most likely will become a cult classic and you cancelled it. This show also is very good don’t screw this up.

Best in every possible way since ‘Fringe’ had a million souls fall in love with it. On of the most important sound & vision ever been out there! This incredibly fine line dividing great comedy with hardcore philosophic dimensions is so damn good. To cancel such a “thing” would be an epic mistake. This is light years ahead of that abomination Discovery. Just witness the past three episodes (Identity I & II and Blood Of Patriots). Those would have made great Trek episodes. More, please,
