ABC hasn’t had much luck launching a new reality show in quite some time so they tried something different this time — The Quest. Is it a ratings success? Will it be renewed for a second season or, will it be cancelled instead?
On The Quest, a dozen everyday people are transported to a fantasy world called Everealm where they have adventures and compete to be the last “true hero” remaining. The cast includes Peter Windhofer, Jan Hutter, Marcello de Nardo, Susanne Gschwendtner, Stephanie Buddenbrock, Florence Kasumba, Mai Duong Kieu, and Doug Tait.
The show debuted at the end of July to a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.82 million viewers. It was a very poor start — even for a summer series — and the numbers have gotten worse as the weeks have gone by.

The season currently averages a paltry 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.96 million viewers. That’s worse than Sing Your Face Off, a celebrity reality show that was burned off on Saturday nights in June.
To be fair, The Quest has had to compete with football games in some markets and has also been preempted by games on some local ABC stations. The ratings are still very, very low however and the network knew that the series would be interrupted when they scheduled it — a sign that they probably had no faith in it.
In the end, it’s highly unlikely that ABC will want to take a chance on ordering a second season of The Quest.

Please make a second one. I really liked it and enjoyed watching it every night. It kept me in suspense after every episode. I also liked how the characters and the acting were realistic and believable. It didn’t seem fake at all. So please make a second one because the ending made me go crazy and left me in suspense.
I loved it!!!! It was exciting to watch not knowing what they would encounter. It all looked so real and they all took it seriously. I hope ABC has enough since to bring it back!!!!!
Loved it. I have hated most of the reality shows. I was in love with the Quest. Please let there be another season.
Loved this show work third so dont get to see thins as they happen when I found it on hulu I was doubtful but tried surpassed all my expectations. Would love to be one of the heroes but if not that will wake up early to watch it next summer.
I heard about this show at comic con last year. I missed it on live TV as I work different hours and rarely watch TV. I remembered this show and sought it out, watched all 10 episodes in a couple of weeks as I wanted it to last longer so i would wait to watch the next one for a couple of days. Where ABC failed was that they did not market this show very well and the ratings suffered because of it. I’m sure many people were like me and that is we didn’t know the show existed and came across it by accident while channel surfing. I missed half the season because of it and once I started watching I was hooked and caught up with the episodes I missed through “on demand.” I hope that ABC brings the show back for another run as it did a great job of mixing fantasy with a reality show. that’s exactly what happened to me too. I never even heard about this show. Last night I was show browsing on the Xfinity website. And I just happened to come across it. It seems really fun and interesting so I started watching and I fell in love. Needless to say now be in the next day I have finished all 10 episodes. This was the most wonderful and fun and different type of reality shows I have seen in a long time. The entire family loved it and i think it definitely deserves a Second season! “One true hero and long live the queen!”

I have to admit I picked up this show “On Demand”. I loved it and I watched all the episodes in one week. What I liked about this reality show was that the participants minds changed on what a “True Hero” is. How they saw those traits in their fellow competitors. It was never about kniving and backstabbing, more about honing desireable skills and traits, and realizing what was good in the other participants.
I watched the entire first season in 2 days on Hulu. You’ve got a winner here-don’t let it go for some simpy sit-com. It was as close to a reality show as you can get so far.
I just want to start off by saying that it is about time someone put something different on to watch, and my wife hates mid-evil shows but we sat down & watched the whole first seson that we recorded. Just the fact that my wife actually watched it all &enjoyed the whole thing from biggining to end tells me that there is an audience for a second season. so here is hoping that we get to see another season, because it will be doing todays families an injustice to take it off the air. I absolutely loved this show! I watched it with a friend and had to get everyone else i knew to watch it. I would love to see more and even be a part of it, i know my friends and i would all try out to be on season two. I would love to even just help setting everything up or just being one of those towns people. Absolutely LOVED this show!! These are the kinds of shows that i enjoy watching. They are more interesting and engaging then other fantasy shows such as Once Upon a Time, that has really outrun its course; and other reality shows such as Lost where all the contestants are stabbing each other in the back the whole time. I vote replace Story Brook with Everealm, You really feel connected to each character and every episodes makes you question yourself and how you would respond in each trial. AWESOME SHOW WOULD WATCH THIS OVER A BORING SITCOM ANY DAY ! The problem was not enough people knew about it, I never saw an advertisement of any kind for it. Someone has the right concept for a very big show, many people would be interested in this and the ratings would sky rocket if they just advertised. BIG MISTAKE to not bring this back, there is a HUGE audience for this kind of show !
