Though there hasn’t been any official word, it looks like the new ThunderCats animated series has been cancelled.
A reboot of the 1980s ThunderCats TV show, the new series debuted on Cartoon Network last July with the first of 26 installments. The season was broken up into two parts and the finale aired this past Saturday. There’s been no word of plans for a second season.
What’s more, Cartoon Network announced their plans for the 2012-13 season and ThunderCats was noticeably absent from their list of returning series.
Matthew Mercer is the voice actor for Tygra. His girlfriend is actress Mirisha Ray and she believes that the show has been cancelled so she’s started a website to rally support.
While ThunderCats hasn’t been officially cancelled yet, the signs certainly don’t look positive. When/if we hear something definitive, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Come on CN work with me here u..they put out so much junk and keep cancelling the few good shows they have!..at the very least do the right thing finish the last 1 maybe 2 ep then u can go right back to making bad cartoons again!

I love the Thundercats TV series! I will absolutely support it in any way I can to help it make a comeback. I really want to see how the story plays out.

me and my two sons loved the new Thundercats ,I think it’s the best cartoon Iv’e watched and I can’t believe it’s cancelled when there’s so many crap cartoon’s on TV, I would even buy the season if it didn’t air on TV

Its so sad that they cancelled thndercats 2011 series that were the cartoon i started watching CN but i am very dissapointed.hope they will continue the next season.

Adults that are kids at heart like me , do miss thunder cats. U was so happy for the new series but got disappoint to hear that it had been cancelled, my kids loved it the new one
I think they should put it again, i loved this series, just like the 80’s series, is my favorite cartoons, i think that is a very good idea to put it on tv again… I was upset when i knew that they removed it from tv…

Well i dont understand why did they cancel such a good show… i was really enjoying the new serious of 2011 and that they would just cancel something in the middle is just not fair.Pls give back the series and continue where you left off… its just makes me sad when i see that they cancel such good shows that everyone watches…. pls you must continue the series i just love them and want to know of the end of it … just when i started to enjoyed so much …
Its pretty sad that Thundercats got canceled but I believe I know what happens at the end , it says by one-shot Tygra and Lion-o share a heart wrenching brotherly bonding moment.

Actually they made 65 episodes but cartoon network only put 26 episodes on. Its a mystery of what happened to the 39 episodes.
