A spy drama with a screwball comedy bent, Whiskey Cavalier stars Scott Foley, Lauren Cohan, Ana Ortiz, Tyler James Williams, Vir Das, and Josh Hopkins. The series centers on FBI Agent Will Chase (Foley), codename: “Whiskey Cavalier” and CIA operative Frankie Trowbridge (Cohan), codename: “Fiery Tribune.” Although they start off as rivals, they’re soon assigned to a joint-agency task force to root out corruption and crime and save the world.
Airing on Wednesday nights, the first season of Whiskey Cavalier is averaging a 0.59 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.47 million viewers.
Out of the 21 scripted ABC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, Whiskey Cavalier is in 18th place in the demo and 13th place in total viewership.
The decision to renew or cancel Whiskey Cavalier reportedly came down to the wire. Word is that Warner Bros TV will be shopping season two to other outlets so there is some small hope that the series will survive.

My husband and I really enjoyed Whiskey Cavalier. We looked forward to watching every week. I’m really upset there won’t be a season 2. There are so many other shows that could have been cancelled. Personally, it was refreshing to have a storyline and not have everyone jumping in bed with each other on each episode.
There could have been many more shows cancelled but NOT this one. It was intelligently scripted, fun and entertaining. The cast was outstanding and worked great together. I can not understand why it was cancelled.
I loved Whiskey Cavalier and hoped it would be coming back for season two. Hope someone else picks it up if ABC doesn’t want

This was one of the few shows I was committed to watching every week. It was funny, romantic, action packed and not horribly violent. Only the bad guys got killed. It had characters you enjoyed watching every week. Neilson ratings seem to be directed to a certain group not average people. Please bring back this awesome show on another network. It deserves another shot.
Whiskey Cavalier was a favorite! It had it all – drama, action, comedy and even potential romance. But most of all it had heart. The characters were likable and it was fun to see their relationships develop. I was actually making sure I was set to record it when I found it had been canceled. Such a disappointment. Especially compared to some of the long-running shows out there that are basically the same storyline week after week. I hope someone else picks it up.
Whiskey Cavalier was an interesting and good show which my son and I watched faithfully. We do not think that it was not given a chance (13 weeks) to get good ratings although I realize that you go by ratings and quite frequently cancel very good shows and keep trash only because they supposedly have great ratings. However new shows need more time to get that same type of rating, but are not given that time. This show should not have been cancelled and so I agree with these other commenters that it should be renewed.
I think they should ask me what show should stay and what one should be canceled you canceled a lot of good shows on every station this year what are you idiots doing
