It’s no surprise that The Young and the Restless will be returning since it was renewed for three seasons (through 2020) back in June 2017. The series will be entering its 47th season. Season 46 is averaging a 0.66 rating in the female 18-49 demographic with 4.23 million viewers. That’s down about 3% when compared to season 45 and Young and the Restless remains the highest-rated soap on network TV.
The Bold and the Beautiful will also be returning for 2019-20 and that will be the soap’s 33rd season. Season 32 is averaging a 0.55 rating in the 18-49 female demo with 3.36 million viewers. That’s down by about 4% when compared to season 31.

What do you think? Do you watch either of these programs? How long do you think that they will continue?
I watch Y&R and B&B faithfully everyday. They are the best with great storylines always!
I have watched both of these programs from the day they began. I’m now 88 years old and still love watching the soaps. Keep up the good work CBS. The soaps are still mu favorite programs.
I love both programs. I record Bold and Beautiful so my husband can watch it in the evening, so I watch it twice. Please don’t cancel them!!!!!!
Please keep these shows enjoy them
if you have really killed victor…i am done with y&r. as a cbs affiliate employee I watched from the very first show on my lunch break and since i retired i still watch, as does my husband since he had open heart surgery 5 years ago. HE liked Eric from old westerns. Victor is the best character would like the old Vic back…the schemer, evil Vic.suspect this is a ruse, but eard Eric was not at all happy with this summers scripts…we weren’t either. stop the junk and get back to the real scheming and back stabbing we all watch for.
My husband and I enjoy both soaps Y&R and B&B
Please do not cancel them. I am tired of talk shows
Fake dr shows and reality shows
Please remember your older generation we cater to
To younger generation way to much
My mom is 95 and that’s all she has
Hope just got her baby back now she’s not with her after Thomas kept her from her baby. Ridiculous! Now the old storyline will start back up with Ridge and Brook splitting up as always and she’ll run back to Bill leaving Katie out in the cold again. I will stop watching if it happens because of old storylines! It was bad enough with the story dragging out of Hope losing her baby.
I record The Bold & The Beautiful & watch it every day!
I have watched both shows since the day they both started. Though I had to record them because I work. The Bold and The Beautiful is my favorite. But I enjoy them both. Thanks CBS for keeping them.
Just started watching The Bold and the Beautiful and now I’m hooked. Hope they don’t cancel it. I stopped watching soap opera in the 80s and this is the only one I watch.
I’ve been watching The Bold and the Beautiful since the first day they aired. LOVE it for so many reasons and appreciate you keep the core actors in place because we as viewers grow to relate and enjoy watching them. I record each episode and look forward to the moment I can relax and see what’s happening that day. Was so touched as I watched Liam realize Phoebe was Beth… definitely worth the wait!! Looking forward to another season and hoping The Bold and the Beautiful will remain on CBS for many years to come!!! Thank you for such a… Read more »
Love the Bold and the Beautiful! Hope it keeps going. Was very very disappointed when CBS decided to cancel The Chew and put on more Good Morning America. Don’t take yet another show from me.
Love the Bold and Beautiful. Even got my son to watching it this summer. He hates going back to school because he will miss the Bold and Beautiful.
I just started watching The Bold and the Beautiful in December, 2018. I LOVE it! Please don’t cancel it. It is the only soap opera I watch. It is great because there aren’t a lot of characters and it is only a 30 minute program. I even switched from U-Verse to DISH a couple of weeks ago because they dropped that channel. It is a fantastic! Thank you.
I have been watching the Young and the restless for 46 years. I have on occasion watched the Bold and The Beautiful. 2months ago I started watching The Bold and The Beautiful ❤️ and I can’t stop. Great job writers are unreal, best ever! I’m now hooked! What a way to retire! The store line has improved and the actors have become realistic. The show has done a 180. Thank you for all the hard work! Bravo to CBS and The Bells
The writers drag stories out to long. Now that the story of Baby Beth is coming out, I think Thomas will run off with Hope and then that story line will drag on through the fall or longer.
I have been watching both soaps since day one and I love them both, only problem I have is they drag things too long. I would hate to see either one of them canceled.I am 75 years old
