It was a poor start for Zero Hour. Year-to-year, compared to an episode of Wipeout, ABC was down by 7% in the demo (vs a 1.5 rating) but was up by 25% in viewership (vs 5.12 million).
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Zero Hour TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I was highly disappointed to learn that Zero Hour was cancelled after only 3 episodes. I felt like I was reading a Dan Brown novel, it was so good. I’m not really surprised though; ABC only has reality shows and when they got a really, really hot show in Zero Hour, of course they cancelled it. I don’t know who makes those decisions, but they’ve got their head up their arse.
I’m at a loss as to why ABC would cancel Zero Hour only to replace it with another inane reality show like Wipe Out. This was the best show they’ve produced since Lost went off the air. I guess ABC thinks the viewers are all idiots who are unable to appreciate a good mystery.
the first episode was almost unwatchable. the media blasted it as such thereby not even giving the series a chance past the fist few episodes. i thought episodes 2 and 3 were better written and not as spastic and cheesy as the first one. shows day/time and budget are always in consideration which is why some shows with ratings over 5mil+ people get canceled and why there are many shows with viewership under 1 million that have been on tv for many years.
Please return it, I was looking forward to seeing the next episodes.
What a waste of a great show – ABC couldn’t wait more than 3 shows before they decided to ax it? Crazy people!!
I liked the show and do not feel it should be cancelled.
Zero Hour is a great show. Please keep it going. ABC does not have much to offer. When they get a good show, they cancel it. They have a flawed evaluation system.
The show is awesome. Really – I don’t get how people like to watch those reality shows. They are such a waste of time!
I think Zero Hour is an awesome show. It reminds of the Davinci Code Theory. It keeps you watching and you have to pay attention not to miss any clues. I don’t understand how they want to cancel it!
I liked it as the secret is keeping me intrigued. Ok bad viewership numbers? Well we can all blame that on non existant marketing. Nobody even new this show was coming out much less even hear of it. Dont expect a show to do well without telling people of its existance.
I thought the show was thought provoking and really good, first show that ABC has had in a while. I think that they should give it a chance and see how the ratings do later in the series instead of canceling on the spot because of poor ratings on the first night. Maybe the fan base will grow over time. I think it holds alot of potential, but that is my opinoin, it is really clean and wholesome. Not alot of sex and other melodramatic issues that some other shows have. The plot seems strong too, I mean you have… Read more »
Watched. Hard to hear.
Sorry, didn’t catch it on tv, watched on website day after as this runs same time as Vampire Diaries on CW. When I did see it, it didn’t interest me, no action, cast held no interest, looks to have pretty good plot but actors not interesting. Probably won’t watch again. Since the good shows get cancelled, why watch and get involved only to see cancelled for some stupid reality tv or crazy comedy show. Not interested in any of this. Nothing can compare to “24” or Lost so don’t watch tv anymore only to see Vampire Diaries, SCANDAL, Revenge, NCIS,… Read more »
