It’s being reported that Eastbound & Down will be back for a fourth season on HBO. They’ve ordered another eight installments.
Starring Danny McBride, the TV series began airing its third season on February 19th and debuted to 1.27 million viewers. The eight-episode season concluded on April 15th with 1.14 million.
Based on statements from McBride back in May 2011, it looked like season three would be the end of the show. He noted, “The third season to us has always been the climax of the story that we set out to tell.”
But apparently McBride’s changed his mind because the comedic TV series will be back once again. It’s unclear however just how long viewers will have to wait to see the next eight installments. There was a 15 month gap between the end of season two and the start of season three.
What do you think? Are you glad to hear that Eastbound & Down is returning? How long do you think that this TV show should run?
I loved the show, and I am more then willing to give it a shot if it comes back with more story.
I do agrree with you Jason, I thiught that was the best series finale Ive ever seen end a show, I wonder what’s gonna happen with April, will Mike and Molly give her time to shoot it? Strange move, HBO. Personally, I was fine with the third season being the last.
