When season 5B premieres March 6, on ABC, the Once Upon a Time TV series is going to Hell. E! Online has shared a video of star Lana Parrilla (Regina) teasing the Storybrookers journey to the underworld. Watch it, below.
In the mid-season five finale of Once Upon a Time, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) sacrifices Hook/Killian Jones (Colin O’Donoghue) at his request, to save everyone, and free herself from the Dark One curse. In season 5B, Emma and crew head to the underworld, to rescue Hook.
In the video, Parrilla tells E!, “We’re taking everyone to the underworld. So, we’re basically entering Hell, which is really exciting, because there are a lot of characters that have died on the show, that are going to make an appearance in the second half of the season.”
During her interview Parrilla, who is of Puerto Rican descent, also touches on Hollywood’s diversity problem, which again became a hot topic, when no actors or actresses of color were nominated for this year’s Academy Awards.
E! has been keeping track of the characters set to return, in the second half of Once Upon a Time‘s fifth season. Check it out:
Parrilla promised a lot of familiar faces are coming back, which we’ve heard about. Returning players this season include Barbara Hershey as Cora, Robbie Kay as Peter Pan, Giancarlo Esposito as the Magic Mirror/Sidney Glass and Emma Caulfield as the Blind Witch. They [sic] good people of Storybrooke (and the not so good people) will also encounter Hades, played by Ally McBeal veteran Greg Germann, Jonathan Whitesell as Hercules, Kacey Rohl as Megara and a returning Dorothy Gale.
What do you think? Which actors do you want to return to the Once Upon a Time TV show? Will you be tuning in for the second half of season five?
