What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the CBS television network, All Rise stars Simone Missick, Wilson Bethel, Marg Helgenberger, Jessica Camacho, J. Alex Brinson, Lindsay Mendez, and Ruthie Ann Miles. The series follows the chaotic, hopeful (and sometimes absurd) world of those who work at a courthouse in Los Angeles. At the center of this drama series is Lola Carmichael (Missick), a recently appointed judge who was previously a highly regarded and impressive deputy district attorney. She depends on the counsel of people like her Deputy District Attorney Mark Callan (Bethel), Supervisory Judge Lisa Benner (Helgenberger), and pragmatic judicial assistant Sherri Kansky (Miles). Lola pushes the boundaries and challenges the expectations of what a judge can be and receives both support and pushback from those around her.

What do you think? Are you glad that the All Rise TV show has been renewed for a second season? How would you feel if CBS had cancelled this TV series, instead?
For me, this was the ONLY show I watch(ed) faithfully. I like the cast, their tangles both in and out of the courtroom, and will stop watching CBS if they ground the show!! Well, unless there’s a football game on!
I would be devastated if All Rise was cancelled. I am so ready to start watching this program and many of those I talk to feel the same. When will the new season air?
I love this show! I love shows that show you an experience to move you to think out the box. Its interesting and a d has its funny moments. I hope that they keep it going!!
I’m so so so glad that All Rise has been renewed for a second season. Although I was late in discovering the show it quickly became one of my favorites. In fact I now watch Bull because of the lead in of All Raise.
We love this show! She’s amazing
ALL RISE must be renewed for a second season. It’s authenticity is realistic, CAPTIVATING as well as informative. The creativity of each week’s episodes are fascinating with the added diversity of the cast makes it so captivating to watch.
Loved ladt week’s episode featuring Zoom, WHAT A CREATIVE PRESENTATION. WE LOVED IT AND IT’S ORIGINALITY. Lets have MORE MORE MORE AND MORE.
All Rise most certainly should continue! An unusual perspective among many police/court shows. Poignancy, great use of language (aka writing is great), interesting take on characters not cookie cutter, wonderful diversity & issues shown & of course Wilson Bethel. He’s a highly skilled young actor & easy on the eyes. It’s the delightful new breath of fresh air on TV this season!
I love this show.
Finally a lead female character of color who is smart, compassionate, beautiful, and extremely likable. It’s about time. And I love the risks and the honest portrayal of the justice system as it evolves. Themes of justice and injustice prevails. Relationships are real, even when dealing with survivors of domestic violence. The diversity is well represented. The storylines are provocative. If this show gets canceled, it would be a shame. I have come to love these characters and look forward to what’s next. Even the season finale was risky but done very well.
This show has head (smarts) and heart! The acting is superb and I am so inspired to see such a diverse and inclusive cast. We need more of this. Court rooms with heart and justice. To see a Black woman lead this show is inspirational.
Renew! Renew!
Tonight’s season finale was so inept that it should … rightly… ensure that All Rise will be cancelled. Trying to incorporate “social distancing” into the rapidly-written disaster script was not only painful to watch but mentally unbearable. I can only hope that the Cancellation Notice comes to this show sooner than later.
I totally disagree. I thought the Writers did a great job incorporating the pandemic and social distancing into the show. I for one will be very disappointed if this show is not renewed. I look forward to it every week and love every one of the characters.
Are you sure you’ve watched ALL RISE?????? It’s final episode was SUPERB, REALISTIC AND TIMELY. WE WATCHED IT 3 TIMES. Each time was more enjoyable.
I disagree. I thought the final episode of season one was creative and refreshing. It was bold and risky, and IT WORKED. Excellent writing and acting. A very new and impressive approach to crime/courtroom drama show. Keep it coming for many years to come.
I love this show. I hope many more seasons to come. Looking forward to it. Keep it running!!!
