TV show description:
A courthouse drama that’s set in Los Angeles, the All Rise TV show follows the chaotic, hopeful (and sometimes absurd) world of judges, prosecutors, public defenders, bailiffs, clerks, and cops. A diverse group, these professionals have one thing in common — they’re seeking justice for the citizens involved in a flawed legal process.
Judge Lola Carmichael (Missick) was recently appointed to the bench and was a highly regarded and impressive deputy district attorney. Now that she’s a judge, Lola pushes the boundaries and challenges the expectations of what someone in that position can be.
It’s not an easy road, but thankfully, Lola has some friends and co-workers who can offer her counsel.
Mark Callan (Bethel) is Lola’s roguish best friend and colleague. He’s a successful deputy district attorney who now must adjust to the shifting boundaries in their personal and professional relationship.
Supervisory Judge Lisa Benner (Helgenberger) is an influential and powerful figure who’s tasked with overseeing Lola’s transition into her new job.
And finally, there’s Sherri Kansky (Miles), Lola’s efficient and pragmatic judicial assistant. She’s a pro but isn’t thrilled at the prospect of “training” a rookie judge.
Others working in the courthouse include Emily Lopez (Camacho), an empathetic and blunt public defender who’s filled with fire and conviction; Luke Watkins (Brinson), a court bailiff who’s taking law classes at night; and Sara Castillo (Mendez), a court reporter who’s a reliable source of inside information and advice.
Episode #58 — Sometimes Truth is Stanger Than Fiction
Emily represents a client charged with murder, and a new presiding judge is announced. Also, Mark’s father makes a difficult decision to protect himself and his family. Later, Mark and Amy celebrate their wedding.
First aired: October 18, 2023.

Please don’t let an exceptional good show like All Rise leave us. This is a remarkably one of as kind good show. It is the type of show anyone can watch.
This is a phenomenal show! The cast is remarkable, and we need this type of fresh entertainment! It’s a Keeper!!!
I love it. The Judge is sassy and smart also very sexy. The show doesn’t have the same stories or cases as some other shows do. It seems fresh. I hope it stays.!
Great show, great casting, great scripts…
Great show great cast good characters DO NOT CANCEL. Enjoying it more each week. Give it a chancr
Should be renewed for sure. Great diversity. Good stories and acting.
You are absolutely correct. Good show great cast. However, I am so offended by every show that portray black men as men who are abhorrent to the act of having a romantic relationship with a black woman. Many shows on CBS have adopted a regular show of showing black men are only attracted to Caucasian women. I am offended and ashamed of the men who go along with this practice. There are too many African American actresses available for work as there are other ethnic groups. All black men are not attracted to other races of women. Please show this… Read more »
The judge who happens to be born black is married to a black man, has a female lesbian boss, has a young white friend, an Asian assistant and an activist mother. How much more diverse does this program need to be. While she is a judge sitting on her bench of authority she consistently tries to keep politics and race out of her decisions. Our country today has more interracial marriages than ever and being attracted to someone despite their difference in skin color or racial background is quite a compliment to the current programmers. I am hoping that your… Read more »
Even Though I Don’t Agree With Their Portrayal of The Black Man…I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE SHOW!!!❤❤
