How big can this extended family grow in the first season of the Almost Family TV show on FOX? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Almost Family is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we invite you to rate all of the first season episodes of Almost Family here. *Status update below.
A FOX drama series, the Almost Family TV show stars Brittany Snow, Tim Hutton, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Emily Osment, Mo McRae, Mustafa Elzein, and Victoria Cartagena. Based on the Australian drama series Sisters, this show explores what it means to be a family and the potential emotional complications that new generations of In vitro fertilization (IVF) children can face. In the series, Julia Bechley (Snow) is an adult only child who has her world turned upside down. She learns that her father, Doctor Leon Benchley (Hutton), a pioneer in fertility, secretly used his own sperm to father over a hundred children. While still reeling from this revelation, Julia discovers that she has two new half-sisters — her former best friend, Edie Palmer (Echikunwoke), and ex-Olympic athlete Roxy Doyle (Osment). As the three daughters begin to reconcile their new reality, Julia starts life without having her dad by her side, Edie comes to grips with her sexuality, and Roxy faces adulthood out of the spotlight. The trio attempt to bond as unconventional sisters while dealing with new siblings as part of a rapidly expanding and very untraditional extended family.

3/4/20 update: Almost Family has been cancelled, so there will not be a second season.
Love this show, the characters are real, not silly cartoons. Renew almost family and give us more great acting with Amanda and Edie.
again fox isnt giving another good show a chance first it was “The Fix” and now “Almost Family” and unless “Almost Family” is given another chance i am done watching fox
Fox will be making another mistake by cancelling
“Almost Family” this is a great show and good storyline i was already disappointed hearing the fall finale is here, Fox needs to think about the audience not the ratings because “Almost Family” needs to be renewed for a second season
This show is amazing! Family comes in all types and this proves that point! The topic is not far fetched as one may think. It happens, I do think this show would be better on Freeform or ABC. They would know how to market it. More screen time with Edie and Amanda would bring in quite a few viewers! Don’t cancel the show, give it time to grow! Most people watch shows on Hulu/other platforms.
I hope the show remains on the air! I like the mix of drama and humor. I also like the idea that people can come into your life and become your “real family.” Even though the premise of the show is messy, the individuals’ lives are messy as well! Life is messy! I like the real life aspect of ALL the problems the characters have.
Great show !!! … all tv shows should be this good !!!
I really liked this show
Saw the other version. This was better
What happened?
Bring it back
Was telling my friends to watch it. No new episodes. ????!!!!
This show HAS to be renued, I LOVED it, just found it on Hulu, and wanted it to be my new show and found out there are only 3 episodes and it CANNOT be cancelled, I will cry. I feel like if this show was advertised more that it would get better ratings. It’s hard to judge ratings now adays because most people only have WiFi and watch Netflix and Hulu and you don’t find shows easily on Hulu. I’m tired of my shows I find on Hulu being cancelled.
Show is getting better. Emily Osment is great. Need it to be more Drama less comedy. There is a potential there.
Love the show i always watch it unless im working then i record it and watch it at 5:00am when i get home
The first show seemed to have a hard time deciding what direction it wanted to go, it brought some interesting characters on and failed to develop them into the story. Why haven’t we seen more from the blind date with the handsome guy that turned out to be a brother and married?
The show is losing my interest and becoming way to predictable
i love the show–i will be watching it every week
I really enjoyed the show. I love the cast and looking forward to see how everything unwinds. I think they do a great job with such a serious subject. I will continue to watch.
I wasn’t intending on watching this but it came on before I could change the channel and I left it on. I really enjoyed it. I’ll keep watching. The storyline and the characters are intriguing.
I enjoyed the show & am interested in watching how the story line develops. I can see many opportunities for the story to incorporate the new relationships of the 3 sisters with their additional new siblings for many seasons to come. For me it’s a “autotune” on my viewing schedule.
