Last summer, the alphabet network debuted an extension of their popular Monday night reality series franchise. On Bachelor Pad, former contestants of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are brought together under one roof to compete for a lot of money and potentially a second chance at love. Like shows like Survivor and Big Brother, alliances play a big role in how long someone can stay in the game. Natalie Getz and David Good split the $250,000 grand prize in season one, beating out 17 other contestants.
Season one of Bachelor Pad wasn’t a big ratings success but it did well for a summer series. The show attracted an average of a 2.0 in the 18-49 demographic and 5.88 million viewers. That’s better than current freshman dramas like Off the Map and Detroit 1-8-7.
ABC has now decided to renew Bachelor Pad for a second season, reports EW. Chris Harrison will return as the show’s host but it’s unclear if Melissa Rycroft will be joining him again. Rycroft gave birth to her first child on February 16th.
There’s also no word on who will take part in season two of Bachelor Pad but ABC has been holding casting events, aka Bachelor/Bachelorette contestant reunions and hook-up events, for the past few months.
The series is expected to return in August, likely leading up to another edition of The Bachelorette.
What do you think? Are looking forward to season two of Bachelor Pad? Who would you like to see on it?

I think this show is great and very excited for season two! All of my friends and I watch it and I think season 2 will be even better!
Too bad any of this garbage makes it to a first season let alone a second.
