CBS’ new series BrainDead hasn’t even premiered yet, but creators Robert and Michelle King recently said they have four seasons planned, BuddyTV reports.
The political dramedy stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Laurel, a young Washington DC staffer who discovers something weird going on within the political community. Tony Shalhoub and Aaron Tveit also star.
During a recent interview, the Kings said the series will be very different from their previous CBS drama, The Good Wife. They mentioned the show will have a “more unrestrained sense of humor,” but, like The Good Wife, will still adhere to current events.
They later added that they have a four-year plan for BrainDead, which includes four corresponding locations: Washington DC, Wall Street, Silicon Valley, and Hollywood.
BrainDead premieres on June 13th at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

What do you think? Did you watch The Good Wife? Will you watch BrainDead?
Most innovative show I’ve seen in a long time. The characters worked well together (and against one another) very well from episode 1. Wonder if the other seasons in other locations will have some of the same characters. The only one I can see moving around is Laurel.
Best show on TV. Please renew!!? Cancel stupid shows like Big Brrother. At least give us one creative, funny shows and drop your reality obsession.
I find that the show is becoming boring. probably will not watch a second season.
Was slow to get into it but by 3rd episode I was hooked. Loving it, smart, funny, escapism.
I was a bit unnerved to see BRAINDEAD move to Sunday.. Dont cancel it is the best one hour..
The first season of “BrainDead” takes place in Washington, D.C.. If “BrainDead” gets renewed, its second season could take place at any of the other locations mentioned in this article. This means that each of “BrainDead”‘s seasons are planned to be self-contained.
Just watched first episode of Brain Dead. Started out ok,, went downhill fast. I can’t imagine it lasting more than 3 or 4 episodes without getting cancelled let alone 4 seasons.
Just has no where to go after this episode. Just my opinion but big thumb down.
Preposterous. Why didn’t CBS make sure that Under The Dome got 4 seasons? What if the ratings for the first year of this show SUCK and then the ratings next season SUCK? is this because the people who are making the show made The Good Wife? This is CBS’s way of sucking up like ABC sucks up to Shonda Rimes? I may just skip this show now.
They didn’t say CBS committed to 4 seasons – it merely states that the creators have four seasons planned – just like they had 7 seasons planned for The Good Wife. Doesn’t mean they’ll get 4 seasons, they just have ideas for 4 seasons.
