The men and women of Chicago Firehouse 51 are staying on duty — for the next three years. NBC has announced the Chicago Fire TV show has been renewed for three more seasons — seasons nine, 10, and 11 — which will keep the dramatic series on the air through the 2022-23 broadcast network season.
Airing on Wednesday nights, Chicago Fire stars Jesse Spencer, Taylor Kinney, Eamonn Walker, Kara Killmer, David Eigenberg, Miranda Rae Mayo, Annie Ilonzeh, Christian Stolte, and Joe Minoso. This series revolves around the personal and professional lives of the firefighters, rescue squad, and paramedics of Chicago Firehouse 51. Captain Matthew Casey (Spencer) leads the Truck Company, brash Lt. Kelly Severide (Kinney) runs the Rescue Squad, and Battalion Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) is the veteran chief of 51. The professionals risk their lives week in and week out to save and protect the citizens of the Windy City. The series also features crossovers with Chicago Med and Chicago PD.
Today, it was announced that producer Dick Wolf and his Wolf Entertainment company have signed a new five-year deal to remain at Universal Television. The latter is a division of NBCUniversal Content Studios and has been Wolf’s studio home for the past 36 years. As part of the pact, NBC gave three-year renewals to Chicago Fire, Chicago PD (through season 10), Chicago Med (through season eight), and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (through season 24).
“Dick Wolf has proven time and time again that he makes shows audiences love,” said Paul Telegdy, Chairman, NBC Entertainment. “We are delighted, excited and proud that as part of this epic deal with Wolf Entertainment, NBC’s loyal audience will know that their favorite shows have a certain future for the next three years.”

I love this show. I hope it doesn’t go off. I do not know what i will watch if there is no chicago.fire. for sure it can add somwthing to make it longer. Have stella and kelly have a baby and thst baby wants to be a firemen when he grows up. So kelly teaches him things as he grows .stella has another and it is a girl who also wants to be like mom. they can make up something to keep it up. I never miss the show even if it is reruns. When are the writers of Chicago Fire going to bring back the guy that played Peter Mills. Now that Casey is gone let’s bring back Peter and give Brett another romantic part with Peter Mills, I would love to see Brett have a great romantic relationship with Peter.
I love Chicago Fire and would also love to see Severide and Kit finally get married, that would be the best thing that could happen on Chicago Fire.
