Cops is celebrating a major milestone. Deadline reports Spike TV will air a special in honor of the TV series’ 1,000th episode.
Created by John Langley and Malcolm Barbour, the long-running docuseries has been showcasing the work of police officers since it debuted in 1989.
On August 19th, Spike TV will air a Cops special called Cops Beyond the Bust. Hosted by Terry Crews, the special will include “historical clips from the run of the series as well as reunions of officers and suspects they arrested.”
From creator John Langley:
Spike has been a great partner for Cops. We are proud of the 1,000th episode and our 30th primetime season. Add to that our gratitude to the thousands of officers we have filmed. What else can we say?”
What do you think? Do you watch Cops? What’s been your favorite moment from the show so far?
Please stop the sirens from wailing for so long. It’s very disturbing to dogs and cats with sensitive hearing. I have to mute the TV because of the sirens but I love the show. I look forward to it.
I love those episodes where the suspect says. Honest officer those are not my pants. I borrowed them and had no idea they had drugs in them.
Or the episodes where the gang banging idiots try to run with there pants below the crack of there butt, the pants fall down and the idiot face plants on the ground and the cops pile on.
Talk about justice. Nothing like catching yourself.
Love cops! Watch it all the time.
Come to Southern Oregon if you want to see some dumb stuff.
I think COPS is one of the best shows every broadcasted on TV! I have watched the show from their very first episode and I watch re-runs all the time! I hope the show continues to run new episodes for many years to come!!
